Heard it from my colleague at work when I was really stressed out, living alone abroad, trying to pay off my student loan:
'Don't worry, it may never happen'.
Worked in seconds, I realised we mainly live in fear of terrible things to happen, whether they do or not, but if there's really time to face the worst, we just do, the best we can, as there's no other way around it. All the stress we live in is a pure creation of our minds, some of it probably useful, most of it unnecessary. I often think about this lovely woman as she noticed me in my lowest point and said something that truelly inspired me.
There are three, proven in everydays experience:
1.) Take people as they are, there are no other.
2.) You won't get away with any good deed.
3.) You are not kindred scot-free.
I hope there will be someone to translate them better.
