My sister thought it would be smart to tell my whole family what kind of boys I like (black or light-skin) and I don’t like to admit it but my dad is kinda racist and he said that i can’t ever date a person that’s not white. That doesn’t mean I won’t though. I still will date a person like that.

16 Years old and first boyfriend. His Birthday. I bought him an inexpensive gold chain. I came home and showed the chain to my Mother. She thought I bought it for myself. She was so happy and told me how nice it was. No, I said " It is for Johns Birthday. WOW, she flipped out and yelled at me and called me a sucker for buying it. Then she said that I was stupid and that if I thought he really liked me I was wrong. I was a sucker and making a fool out of myself for wasting money on him. All because I bought my first boyfriend a cheep 10 carrot gold chain for his birthday. This was a theme with her. She repeatedly told me that my sister and her husband did not want me near them when as an adult I decided to move to their small town. My Mother destroyed my self esteem and it has destroyed my relationships and job prospects.

i have Asian parents and its all grades. when i was signing up for my 8th grade courses the only reason they signed me up for health is for high school credits. I took a course in 7th grade that is required for yearbook staff. and now they want high school credits over a year of training for yearbook.

Mom has called me many names over the years. None of them good. I remember getting sick in high school. A lot. She took me to the docs to get a pregnancy test. I’d never had sex with anyone. All my life, she told us not to drink or smoke. So it blew my mind when I was 12 and caught her stressed out and smoking out front (she bummed a cig from someone).

Once my mom misunderstood what I said and yelled at me; "You have a filthy attitude". I didn't tell her what I actually said, because my mind just tells my mouth to shut up when I'm getting yelled at.
