Do you know that one teacher? Maybe they're mean? Annoying? Have a grudge against you? Anyways, share what teacher you had that was the absolute worst and made you want to just drop that class. My french teacher, for example!

I love art but my teacher didn’t talk to us she just showed a video and told us to draw lightly but she would come around erase a part of our work and draw super hard on our paper and think we would be able to erase with our using our whole eraser and tbh she looked like a witch. I never thought I would be so happy to switch my art classes now I’m in 3D art

Every single English teacher I've ever had. They don't let you just read the book and enjoy the story; they make you dissect it page by page to try and uncover some hidden meaning that might or might not even be there. And then they make you write a long, boring essay about that hidden meaning, and if your interpretation isn't the same as theirs, you get a bad grade.

I think it's fair to say my English teachers have all had a part in ruining my childhood love of books.

Yes! I love to just sit down and enjoy my book; but instead they make you write dozens of post-its, journal entrys and random parts in the book that you don't understand unless you read the book, and since they don't understand, you get a bad grade. Makes my blood boil.

I hate that in English. Its not the teachers fault its part of what you have to learn though

this is something important people need to remember: It's not always the teachers fault that the class isn't fun. Teachers have to do what the schools tell them to.

That sounds hard. Stay positive, hopefully you'll get through this as a better person!

This math teacher I had for honors math said to everyone "if you don't know the material, you are stupid." It prevented me from asking for help because I did not want to be called stupid. Did I mention tis is an honors class that covers a ridiculous amount of material ridiculously fast? I was moved to an on-level class after failing a test retake that I studied for. She was the only teacher I had that I hated.

That sounds awful! No teacher should ever call a student stupid.

My math teacher. one time she gave us this paper that said operations rap, sorted the class into groups, AND DIDNT TELL US WHAT TO DO! My group was sitting there, and she made it seem like we were stupid for not knowing what to do. When I ask she looked at me like I was crazy and said "Act it out." so we had to go in front of the whole class and act it out. And she doesnt really teach the class, she just gives us papers.

My chemistry teacher literally had it out for me! I was the only person whose homework was actually checked (one time she literally complimented the boy next to me for having just done his homework, while she sent me out of the room for having the wrong answers on mine). She used to call my mom constantly in an attempt to get me in trouble, and would usually just send me to the classroom next door for minor reasons. That’s just the tip of the iceberg with her (not even going to bring up all of the lack of help on such a difficult subject and all the times she made me feel stupid for asking for it).

Worst part? This was in 10th grade. I was 15, and she treated me like a disrespectful child for absolutely no reason. Other students would even comment on her treatment of me, so I had that embarrassment to deal with as well. Still can’t figure out what I did to make her hate me within the first week of school.

I had a math teacher who was super nice to me (I was kinda the teacher’s pet). He was in his 50s and retired military and he was super strict. He had this weird set of rules like “no mechanical pencils” and “no sharpening your pencils” and he would get super annoyed when you broke any of those. He split the class into two groups, one that was grade level and another that was above grade level and I was in the above grade level. He would yell at us and get made if we continued to do our work even if the above grade level didn’t do anything. On top of all this, he didn’t even teach the above grade level group so I was super stressed out because I would have to finish this 10 page worksheet and each problem would take like 20 minutes. Anyways, just too much stress for me. He was a good teacher tho and we would play a game on Fridays.

I mean, my teacher tries really hard and she seems kind of stressed. But in math she gives us like 12 assignments a day, and expects us to do them by the next day, I have 7 other classes know that, right teacher.

I had a math teacher who talked in a monotone and was difficult to understand when his back was turned (usually when he was writing on the board, explaining procedure and what not). I'd been a straight A math student until his class in 10th grade and then in his class I began to loathe math, and to this day I have a weird sort of PTSD from his class, which I suffered through in the 1989-1990 school year.

When I was learning Spanish in primary school, I would have loved the subject if it weren't for the teacher absolutely hating my guts. She yelled at me for yawning once...
