Hey Pandas, What Is Your All-Time Favourite Eurovision Entry? (Closed)
I’m not just talking about winners! Any participant who took part in a least a semifinal.

Lordi 2006, earning the first victory for Finland with "Hard Rock Halleluja"
Cliff Richard - Congratulations (Eurovision Song Contest, 1968)
Salvador Sobral - Amar pelos dois (Portugal - winner 2017) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qotooj7ODCM
Olsen Brothers - Fly On The Wings Of Love. From 2000
Cliff Richard - Congratulations (Eurovision Song Contest, 1968)
1991, Amina-"C’est le dernier qui a parlé qui a raison"
2003, Sertab Erener-"Everyway that I Can"
I have a few, not in any particular order.
2024 Ireland, Bambi Thug 'Doomsday Blue' (I didn't have a problem with it as much as other people did. It was a memorable performance. Just wish she took not getting first a bit more graceful. But I digress.)
2106 Belarus, Ivan 'Help You Fly'.
2018 Estonia, Elina Nechayeva 'La Forza'
2016 Belgium, Laura Tesoro 'What's The Pressure'
and others.
Uh I can't really pick I liked this year (2025) the most:
- Espresso Macchiato by Tommy Cash
- C'est la vie by Claude
- La Poupee monte le son by Laura Thorn
- Bara Bada Bastu by KAJ
- Lighter by Kyle Alessandro
I can't pick ToT
1965 France
"Poupée de cire, poupée de son"
Sung by 17 year old France Gall
Written by Serge Gainsbourg, one of France's best songwriters.
Several UK entries I loved - "Rockbottom" by Lynsey de Paul & Mike Moran 1977, "Bad Old Days" by Coco 1978, "Beg, Steal or Borrow" by The New Seekers 1972.
Of more recent ones, "Rise Like a Phoenix" by Conchita Wurst 2014 was the one time I predicted the winner from the beginning.
I was obsessed with "Rim Tim Tagi Dim" last year and "Cha Cha Cha in '23 so the mashup by Baby Lasagne and Käärijä this year was my highlight of the evening.
Given the choice I'd have had Tommy Cash with "Espresso Macchiato" as my winner this year - I'm just a bit sick of tortured ballads, I like it to be fun and as ridiculous as possible!
Yes! I still listen to Baby Lasagna because of Rim Tim Tagi Dim.
Lia Vissi, Cyprus, 1985, "To katálava argá".
Massiel, Spain, 1968, "La la la".
Some of these, I’ve never even heard of tbh. Time to look them up! Thanks for all the replies!
