YES. A guy just randomly yelled out at a restaurant I was at the other day "I hate Jews!" And I was like.... they still make you? I was looking at him like he was a VCR. I understand racism and homophobia but there's a part of me that is almost shocked when I see that these people still exist because it seems like such an old, backward and frankly unbelievable attitude that still exists in this day and age. How people can hate others based on a fairytale book that has bamboozled our entire species. And I'm not against religion but when it supports hateful behaviors, I absolutely do.

Yeah. Also, they need a blocking system. As a person who makes bad decisions constantly the only way to be free of them is to block them all. They'll eventually stop if no one cares. I doubt the human mods thing will happen, but maybe they'll put in a way to block people

@irishgoatgirl. I have deep respect for the stand you have taken. The use of swear words, particularly the F word, is offensive to me. Yes I suppose freedom of speech allows for this rude language, but it also allows me the right to oppose this type language. You defend your sister in a magnificent way.

It's one of the few times where child objectification and violation of labor is still being allowed. These contests are literally like a job for some of these kids with all the stuff they have to do and prepare for it and the way the parents push them. Even if they want to do it - and there are a lot of girls who get into this competitive thing- their parents should be protecting them from the negatives of it. Their money if often not protected if they do win any and they're images are often placed online without any kind of legal consent and used by predators. And a lot of these kids are then pushed into media.

Retirees need to collect deposit bottles out of garbage cans, Caregivers paid minimum wages, Jobs without social relevance earning way more money than those with meaningful employments, Financial institutes being supported and saved by governmental payments, single parents need multiple jobs to be able to pay monthly bills and liabilities etc. pp.

Yeah, they do. Again, I have to play trombone, and it is hard. But if trombones didn’t exist, then everyone would be playing an instrument with better tone quality, a warmer sound, better intonation, and the ability to slur. You can never truly slur on a trombone no matter how good you are because you always need just a little bit of tongue. I’m not dissing trombone players by any means. I just don’t like the actual instrument.

It must be... I'm all for anything that makes people more comfortable. Though I'm older so grew up in the years where labels were fought against. No-one wanted to be labelled!! Having had those years form part of who I am today for me it begs the question 'why are people asking 'what' you are?' None of their flipping business would be my gut reaction! Unless there is a valid reason of course eg medical needs. That said I very much feel why can't people live and let live? Society changes (faster than you'd ever think possible sometimes) and if some people want labels that's entirely up to them. I certainly don't get why people mind who other people are, or who they identify as. How is it bothering anyone else? People should let other people be. Life's tough enough as it is!

Older people having to struggle to pay bills. It's not reasonable to force people to work until they are 70 because they don't get enough in social security to be able to retire. Congress keeps tying to up the age but they aren't thinking about people who are working physical jobs. I think retirement should be at 50, honestly! I mean, if you want to keep working, fine but not everyone has an office job. Some poor older person is trying to still waitress or do roofing or work in a factory. It's not right. Not when the problem is budgeting. I see so many people every day who are on disability or are getting early social security who are clearly abusing the system and just being allowed to because it's too hard to call them on it. If I'm going to lose as much as I do from my check every week, I'd rather at least know it's going toward the people who really need it than to see people just crazy abusing the system. No older person should have to die alone or have to worry that they have to be in some horrible state hospital where they hire anyone off the street and they end up getting abused because they have no one to take care of them when they're old. You shouldn't have to feel like you have to get married in order to not 'die alone' and to have someone to take care of you. Retirement homes should be palaces and be 100% funding by the federal government. The jobs should pay really well so qualified people work there. And also, it would help to keep the burden off families to have to take care of them, too. My parents, who are in their 70s now themselves, had to sell their home and move in with my grandmother to take care of her because if they put her in a nice nursing home, it would deplete her entire life savings within 3 years. She's needed care since she was 88, and she's 99 now and while it's not like they *want* her to die, they are exhausted. She has to wear a diaper that needs to be changed, she falls because she is stubborn and wants to walk on her own, she's always cold so they have to have the heat on really high all the time, she needs everything done for her- cooking, cleaning, etc. They haven't been able to retire themselves because they're taking care of her and while that's noble, it shouldn't have to be like this. It should be a blessing to retire and just begin enjoying your life for a few years while you're still young enough to enjoy it.
