Hey Pandas, What Is A Physical Item You Saved Up To Get, Then Immediately Ended Up Selling Because You Didn’t Like It?
For example, saving $50 per month for two years to buy something you either always wanted or were really into. But as soon as you bought it, you realized it wasn't for you and you just sold or returned it.
And, do you have any advice for people who want that item too?

They are so gorgeous and definitely a wearable piece of art. It is movie-production quality and they can cost upwards of $2,000-$5,000, with some famous ones costing between $10,000-$30,000. I spent $2,000 on mine, saving $100 every two months, and waited three months for it to be made for me. After I swum in it, I realized I hated it - too time-consuming and challenging to put on, could only stand swimming in it for about 10 minutes, and it was not nearly as fun as the fabric tail I spent $300 on.
I fully understand why they're expensive, but for anyone looking, make sure you ask someone local to you to try theirs' on first. Or rent one. They're very difficult to resell, even at a severe markdown, because they're made to your exact measurements.
This doesn’t fit the topic exactly, but I wanted a hooded cloak for months and months for a cosplay I was doing and finally got one for Christmas. Wore it a couple times for less than a week, then stuffed it in a drawer and forgot about it. Never even wore it with my cosplay.
My iPad Air . It was for drawing but I don’t like how big the screen is . I still have it I just mad because I saved up $500 dollars for it.
A Fuji Film Instax Camera. I take so many photos on my phone, so I thought it would be cool to get. I bought it with birthday money (including the film) and found that the cost of replacing the film was not worth the cost of getting a photo off of my phone professionally printed. As for advice; if you don't use photos in print or just take a bunch of photos on your phone already, don't buy as your only copies will be that one physical image. (And you transfer it onto the net either.)
A Korg Electribe ESX-1 Hardware Sampler I wanted to integrate in my setup. Put much time and energy in finding one in good shape, drove hours to get it. Back then it was the most expensive thing I ever bought. Took me 2 days to realize that organizing hundreds of sample clips using a software that is outdated for decades and transfering them via SD card into the device is something I can't deal with. Lost any interest and couldn't get back to it to give it a second chance. Workflow is kinda cool when you are into Korg, Sound is powerful and you get this nice warm analog synthie feeling while playing it, but the file transfer mess totally wrecked it up :(
