The place, a small tribe anywhere, anytime..... The lazy guy : "How can I get fed and housed for free???" "Got it! There is this mysterious being that only I can talk to, and all of you have to be nice to me or else there will be some smitin' going on" "Best part is that they never find out its all a scam because I'll convince them they get to go to a forever theme park when they die." "I'm a f*****g genius!"

Gendered rebranding. They sell you literally the exact same product, all they do is change the packaging and the price. And thanks to societal pressures, people keep falling for it...

Like the manly-man man cotton swabs and all they did was print a background of non-slip -deck plates under the Q-TIP brand?

It makes no sense to the consumer, but that's not the point. It is surveillance and data collection. Like Amazon Ring doorbells - all monitoring you and the public without consent. Alexa, Siri, Cortana - all the same, listening to every word. Why?

Any of you guys remember the overpriced pink 'menstrual gloves' that could be used to change pads/tampons discreetly?

Flushable toilet wipes. They even say in the small print, they are not flushable but people keep doing it and clogging the pipes. Whatever your primary method after doing your business, you shouldn't need second item afterwards.

If you are using flushable wipes that say not to flush them... then they are not flushable wipes.

Fake versions of real things
examples: maple flavoured syrup instead of maple syrup, ‘vegan’ leather, so many others
And when they’re literally selling something you can get at home, like bottled water

Vegan leather is plastic. How environmentally unfriendly is that.

Hands-free soap dispenser. What difference does it make if there are germs on it when you’re just about to wash your hands?!?!

I've been thinking about this a lot actually. (Weird, yes.) But the less germs the better. I mean otherwise you could just wipe your a** with your hand because why does it matter, you'll be washing your hands anyways?

Anything new and improved. If it is not smaller and more expensive I would be surprised. Usually the old model works better, does a better job. Example: front load washers as compared to top load. I’m sure you can come up with examples too….

Don't you realize what you just wrote? "New and improved"? You know what that means right?? And seriously, I'm old enough to be annoyed with some new technology. But it also saves lives. My dad had a stroke in the middle of a forest, he managed to turn his phone on and the rescuers could trace him because of that. Stop being so negative about new stuff.

Not completely pointless, as it's wise to keep a case or two on hand for emergencies like earthquakes that could put the purifying system at risk.

I know it makes sense but I think the car is one of the worst inventions ever.
Cons: too many resources needed to make them all
The roads are constantly full of traffic jams and in some places it's quicker to ride a bike
The amount of pollution they cause
The amount of petrol and oil they need
The expense of keeping them fuelled, taxed and insured
The never ending production of newer, better models to keep people buying

Pros:
They're convenient

Horse-powered vehicles were worse in urban environments - the horse s**t problem was real, and major, with literal mountains of rotting horse crap outside cities. Dead horses in the street were also a daily problem and cause of traffic jams. Early cars, with their fumes and smoke were hailed as a pollution-reducing marvel.

Talk-to-text and sending voice messages....on a phone...capable of calling people. I know it has some specific usages but the irony is never lost on me, and I most often see it being used as basically a phone call with very long pauses between responses.
