So many people on here are really parent-shaming. So parents tell us something wholesome that you love about having little ones.

I love the feeling when little fingers wrap around mine. Or getting absolutely pure unsolicited hugs.
I can't leave out the sound of little feet running through the house.
Watching them love what I make for food and actually eating it all. My favorite quote in my house is "who knows you"
I have raised mine on a variety of different food but they still ended up picky so I understand this joy!
When one of our three remembers something we all did together when they were little and then all three join in to share the memory. Our children are 18, 18, and 17 so we’ve passed the tricky years… it’s lovely to hear that our efforts are well-remembered. These three near adults are turning into fine humans and all the years of family dinners, movie nights, dancy-dance nights, and family vacations, structure and love as well as parenting the Children I was granted have worked out… I love these times and I love being their Mom.
When they get old enough for the really cool presents and you get them exactly what they wanted. My 9yo asked for a Switch for Christmas, but after looking up prices, I told her that I wasn't sure if we could afford it. But after talking to my in-laws, we split the cost of it. My daughter was soooo excited Christmas morning 🥰🥰
The daily little rewards - smiles, laughter, hugs, and the jokes that only kids think are funny.
Mine are adults, one with his newly born son. Watching him be the dad to his son that his father wasn't. Hearing him tell me that he wants to be there for everything in his son's life, like I was for him. Seeing in his smile that he finally gets the love parents have for their kids, and why it's beautiful beyond words.
Seeing both of my kids happy, truly happy. They both chose the most amazing partners to share their lives. Knowing that they're safe and loved means everything
So wonderful. I'm glad you brought up that you don't truly understand parental love until you are one and it's heartwarming to hear they have great partners!
Their firsts. As in, the first time they can tie their own shoes, the first time they get to help cook, their first time making a soccer goal, their first time reading you an entire book without help. It’s the look of how proud they are of themselves over the little things that are their biggest accomplishments at the time. As they get older those accomplishments get bigger and so does their smile of achievement.
One more… that full belly giggle they get when they’re little. To me, that is the most infectious sound. No matter what type of day you’re having that giggle will always make you smile.
Ooo I know the one you're talking about! I LOVE one no matter whose kid is doing it!
When you hear about how they did something good and completely unselfish. On their own. With no reward other than the wonderful feelings you get for doing good foe the right reason.
I'm happy you are instilling this wonderful quality in your children. I feel like it's not much of a priority to most these days.
Snuggling up in bed reading books every night!!!
