As a kid we always decorated the tree as a family. When I was 8 or so my mom let me put the really fancy ornaments on, the antiques from family members who had passed on. I was so careful and so worried I would drop one. As I was finishing my very important task my 4 year old sister got on a step stool to put an ornament up high. She leaned in a little too far. She fell in the tree and the whole tree fell over. One fancy ornament was smashed. My mom was worried about my sister. I was worried about my ornament. The story is told every Christmas.
