That's exactly what we did. I had my husband cut it down to the size I wanted and he hung it with I bolts and chain. Post a photo when you're done!

Beautiful wheel, I bet she spins like a dream. Is she temperamental? I had a stunning Saxony (Schacht Reeves) which was gorgeous once you found the sweet spot. That could take a little time tho..

She's not temperamental at all :) I can spin thin, thick and everything in between. I was very lucky because I didn't know anything about spinning wheels when I got her, I was just learning to spin. I could have brought home a complete disaster unknowingly but I got a real gem, with two bobbins even! Biggest problem was that it was probably painted originally with punamultamaali or (falu red in english). If I remember correctly the color comes from iron oxide and that paint has traditionally been used to paint houses here in Finland. It's good as an outdoor paint but in a wheel it's a problem as the paint can be rubbed off. It's the same with houses painted with it, if you see an old red house, don't lean on the wall, your clothes will be stained red. So I could spin with her just fine if I was careful but as soon as I had the time, I sanded and painted eve
