It sure is. He’s a rescue who came to me with only a few teeth remaining after most of them just fell out when the vet attempted to scale and assess. His canine teeth have changed position over time since there aren’t other teeth around them to keep them in place. As long as they don’t bother him, they don’t bother me.

I don’t remember training Biscuit because I was young when we got her but Indy is pretty smart and fairly easy to train. He’ll be five months in March I think. But yea they’re definitely hard to say no to sometimes 😂

Such a beautiful face! Is that a bark collar or an invisible fence collar? I've had many dogs that I have trained and the one I have now is for real getting out of control with the barking. He's not really interested in treats so I can't use that for training I was wondering if the bark collar works? I know it doesn't really hurt them but I'm so afraid of doing anything to scare him. He's a Chihuahua and spooks easily. If it's a bark collar any advice?

Oh!!! A beautiful rottie!!!! I had several growing up! Tasha, Ute', Ruger, and then as an adult, I had THE BEST rottie- Nash. He was my protector, my sons first best friend and just all around the best dog. I miss him so much. He was incredibly smart and intuitive. When I was pregnant with my oldest son, he was put himself right in front of me any time a male came near (except my husband) and give a low growl- like "please step back, I don't want to hurt you, but I will of you get closer". He never showed his teeth either, but with his size, and big ol box head, he could look intimidating. He used to put his head on my belly to feel him kick.

I had a rottie a long time ago who use to love broccoli. We'd give her the biggest stalks we could find and she'd chew it a bit, then go bury it in the yard. It's was the only treat she was possessive of or buried. We gave her real bones and she liked them but wouldn't complain if we tried to take them away and never buried them. But try and take her broccoli and she was deeply offended.

I had a German Shepherd mix who loooved potato peels. She would eagerly wait while I peeled potatoes to catch the ones I would "accidentally" drop for her 😊 thanks brought bk a good memory. Hector is adorable!

Awesome! I've been requesting more doggie posts so was so happy for this. Great idea about the snacks. That's how you usually catch a dog's attention. My dog will only eat duck treats and some rawhide. He buries everything he doesn't like. That includes burying my food under my blanket if I happen to leave it unguarded.
