Sometimes the world around us shrinks and life feels, well, small and sad. I'll give you an example from my own life: Somebody using my work area left a pen with orange colored ink. My pens are limited to black, blue, and red. I was totally delighted with the orange pen. Small and sad, right?

Hi, Susanne! The question seems harsh but I like the example you shared. The orange pen is small, but not sad. Something recent for me was when I showed up for an appointment & the other person was running late. They didn't know how long they would be. I decided to leave because then I could go back home & not have to interact with people after all. I know that would sound sad to some people but I was delighted.
P.S. I love the photo of the cat in your profile picture!

I can understand the delight of not having to interact with people. Especially since the COVID pandemic has brought so much ugly behavior into play-ugh! I am still lovin that orange pen, it's the littlest things that can mean so much. The cat in the Hawaiian shirt is a pet, not me, and she has a more impressive wardrobe than me! And more photogenic than I will ever be!
