“Let’s Take A Look Into Your Fridge”: Pandas From All Over The World Show The Contents Of Their Fridge (29 Pics)
Could you guess by people's fridge what country they're from, or where, at least, they currently live? This is not a classified ad for psychics, this is a genuine question that a person asked on our community.
Some indulged in satisfying the curiosity and submitted the contents of their fridges. Some tidy, some messy; some full of healthy stuff, and not-so-healthy stuff; some were stacked and some were modest; some honest and some clearly a joke—in short, all kinds of refrigerators. Take a gander and see what's in the fridge!

Athens-Greece. Don't Be Fooled By The Fruits, The Yummy Unhealthy Stuff Is In The Cabinet Right Next To The Fridge
I agree. Kinder Joy (top right on the left side of the shelf) IS a healthy food. If you're 7....
The sodas though, like one at a time, lol. Im used to shoving 12 plus in my fridge
Add different fruit to it? I buy plain and then add what fruit I want or have

Shame about all the plastic. When Covid is far less prevalent I will be going back to the greengrocer with my own bags etc. P.S didn't mean to up vote my own post, and can't work out how to fix it

Load More Replies...Your fridge looks extremely small. Are all of them, in the uk like that?
No....many of us use the American style fridges these days ...it's a choice thing based on size and style of kitchen usually
Load More Replies...I never waste a thing. That will all last exactly a week (between two!)
It looks like you've carefully avoided product placement xD minus the Pepsi
Not intentional tbh! I shop at a supermarket that doesn't really sell named brands . There are two very famous stores that are very popular in the UK like this.
Load More Replies...Ok... American here. What else could Wild Rocket be called? I definitely think I'm going to like Wild Rocket better no matter what.
Arugula. Grows wild and is sometimes over used at italian restaurants
Load More Replies...The amount of plastic is absolutely disgusting. Your edit does you no good, you still voluntarily chose to buy all this c**p, you could have chosen different foods in different packaging
Do you shop in the same store or neighborhood as this person? If not, you have no idea what they could have chosen. This may be what's offered in the market where they live.

Oh, that's not the half of it. I'll need to buy another fridge just to cope!
Load More Replies...I appreciate the annotations.i now know that I have reached peak adulthood when I have 3 shelves for condiments, mustards, chutnies, pickles etc that you can't live without, but don't constitute a meal.
Hi Amy. Good job I didn't show you the fourth shelf where I keep my back ups!
Load More Replies...Sorry, I meant to add that I'm from England. BTW, I have a lot more condiments, I just don't keep them in the fridge (See attached picture). IMG_4938-6...12386f.jpg
I could tell....my condiment shelf is VERY like yours ;)
Load More Replies...Hi Hilary. You are correct. However, the best meal I could make out of milk, cheese and butter was some sort of sludge ;O)
Load More Replies...Cow stuff should be in the coldest part of fridge. The door is the LEAST coldest part.
A German Fridge. No Fruit And Vegetables To Be Seen? I Swear They Are On The Table Next To It
yes, drugs for diabetes that have to be refrigerated, the vegetables are somewhere else :)
Load More Replies...I live in France and i have the same currysauce in my fridge. NOZ?

Trucker Here, With My Trusty Iceless Cooler.
Thank you for what you do! With all the supply issues, the value truckers add to all our lives has certainly come to light.
Swiss Fridge Here. And Yes, It's Always That Messy 😅
My friends call it messy, 'cause there is no system and no designated place for stuff. I just put it wherever, and it's always changing, which makes finding something rather hard sometimes (for them, I know where I put my stuff :P )
Load More Replies...Not messy. And it looks like you keep leftovers. That's so smart. Good going
Leftovers are great. Saves ressources and also means less time cooking for the next meal ;)
Load More Replies...Is that a cupboard door on the fridge door? Is that fridge designed to just blend in with the cabinetry? I like that idea!
Yes it is. I really like it as well :)
Load More Replies...why are your tomatoes in the fridge? I thought that would render them tasteless?
Nope, they are quite tasty. They stay fresh if I keep them in there, and I love cold tomatoes as a snack :P
Load More Replies...Same label yes. But the flavor is tailored to the country. I have been to the World of Coca-Cola "museum" they even have clear coke.

Load More Replies...I have friends who are from Belarus. With crazy Lukashenko in charge, they need to food or soon will. It is scary for them because they have a madman for a leader.
It is my fridge. We eat at work cantine and evenings have simple bread with cheese. I hate cold drinks (drink tape water) and vegetables store in cold pantry. In our fridge we sometimes have blood samples, histology slices and mouse brains (not for food, indeed!). Welcome to scientist's household, friends!
Hey, it was a joke:) I am not starving, just didn't go shopping. Also, I don't like wasting food, so you'll never see my fridge full anyway, cheers!

My kid would have opened this fridge & complained that there was nothing to eat.
Australian Household Of 6 Plus My Dog
The amount of stuff people keep in their fridges is amazing. So unnecessary in cooler countries.
I imagine the cool of the fridge is a lovely relief to a black dog in the Australian heat hehe. (reminds me of my childhood dog though <3)
Plenty of freezer packs for the chilly bin! I'd suggest pull a few of those out and replace with frozen veggies - even the meatless patties would fit nicely there.
Fridge In Texas
Plums or apricots, lemon, cucumber, something nice from.the bakery. Appeals to me!
I really like HEB's bakery! My favorites are the ones the la maquina, where you can get fresh-made tortillas right there!
Load More Replies...Now that is an American fridge. (This from someone use to the upper Midwest states.)
You don't want to store a gun in the refrigerator. The minute you take it out of the refrigerator and into the Texas heat, the condensation will impair the firing mechanism and could even corrode the chamber and barrel.
Load More Replies...Washington State, USA. We Tend To Just Put Things Where They Fit Rather Than Have Rhyme Or Reason To The Organization.
Hello fellow Washingtonian. It's called "lack of organization" and it plagues our house too.
This pic was submitted quite a while ago and is recycled BP content. The Panda Express was eaten for lunch the next day. My daughter finished the Mac and cheese on the bottom shelf. I cooked the chicken on the middle shelf the same night I made mushroom loaf for my vegetarian husband with the mushrooms on the middle shelf and the better-than-eggs on the top shelf. Dogs got whipped cream as a treat for being good girls (top shelf), and the “You Will Be Found” thermos held Earl Grey tea for a London Fog drink my daughter made with the milk on the bottom shelf. It may be disorganized, but we know what’s in the fridge and we use it. It just takes a minute to find it.
Load More Replies...used to live in washington, now we’re in tennessee, still looks like this 💀
WASHINGTON!!! USA!!! Also, that's how I do it in TACOMA!!! Wherever it fits.
Same. I scan the tops of all the containers on each shelf to find what I need. I know it's there, I just have to look.
Another From Texas. You'd Never Know I Just Went To The Grocery On Friday
That is honestly the only thing that is always full. We eat a lot of fresh fruits and vegetables. Two days ago it was full.of oranges used to make the juice in the picture.

Our Dutch Fridge Is Never Fully Filled. In Our Little Country There Are Always Multiple Supermarkets At Walking Distance
I got to this pic and realized I am looking at photos of the inside of other peoples refrigerators.................What am I doing with my life?!?!
I made a picture of the inside of my fridge as my first picture on BP ever and feel more or less the same :-D
Load More Replies...I do so envy those who have supermarkets or shops within walking distance!
My grandmother was born and raised in the colonies. It doesn’t mean that we eat Dutch-Indonesian food all the time, but certain items like ketjap, sambal, ginger and atjar are indeed very common in our fridge!
Load More Replies...Having lived there for 29 years, I always picked up fresh ingredients at either the market or the grocery store just for that day. Stocking up was only on drinks, condiments, etc.
Finland, Single Woman. Haven't Stocked Up In Days
If you live within walking distance of supermarkets/grocers etc, you don't really need to stock up because you just go buy it fresh on the day, depending on your lifestyle.
Load More Replies...Our Fridge In Denmark. Appreciate The Homemade Fresh Mint Water 🙂
Obviously they do not need so much processed food like others and probably shop often for fresh
Load More Replies...Your fridge is too close to the wall. It cannot ventilate properly and will use more electricity because of all the hot air that is trapped at the back and sides.
South African Fridge - We Don't Care Where It Goes As Long As It's Tasty :)
I'm from the US and I've seen peanut butter in someone's fridge before, not too many people, but some. I don't put mine in the fridge either because it makes it harder to spread on your bread and god forbid you've got crunchy.
Load More Replies...Not all South Africans put Peanut Butter or coconut oil in the fridge lol
I'm from SA and my fridge is organized per product type, no peanut butter in the fridge either
WTF!! Who puts peanut butter in the fridge? Unless u plan on murdering bread.
Load More Replies...Fridge In Romania. Always Have Homemade Țuica In It! And I'm Native French
It's a Romanian alcoholic drink made out of plums, pears or apples. It's super strong. My dad used to make it 57°
Load More Replies...This, for whatever reason (probably because Romanian), has prompted me to use up the cabbage in my own fridge for Sarmale. Wish I could make Țuica though. Instead my plums went into a jam/preserve which has gone into a cake. xP
I can’t point out the Tuica, but I do spot French articles like red wine, cheeses, mustard and something that can be identified as a jar of olives. :-)
Transparent liquid in the glass bottle in the door ;) Yes, I'm the one cooking so French cuisine indeed
Load More Replies...Tuica is an alcohol from plum traditionally but you can make it with with pear or different fruits. It's generally transparent and pretty strong. Fun fact, Romanian people keeps it in water bottle. So always smell your bottle before drink hehe :p

Homemade Duke's Mayonnaise 1 large egg 1 tbsp + 1 1/2 tsp white vinegar 1 1/2 tsp apple cider vinegar 1/4 + 1/8 tsp salt Paprika (NOT smoked paprika) 1 cup + 2 tbsp neutral tasting oil (vegetable, canola, avocado, etc. - DO NOT use olive oil) 1. Crack the egg into a container which can hold at least 2 cups. 2. Add both vinegars on top of the egg. 3. Add the salt and enough paprika to make a thin layer over the surface. 4. Add the oil on top. 5. Using an immersion blender, blend until there is no more visible oil or liquid and the whole mixture has become homogenous. 6. Stir with a spoon. Refrigerate when not enjoying.
Load More Replies...Yet Another Texas Fridge
Almost to the end, and the two most recurrent items, no matter what country, are eggs and sriracha hot sauce.
A fried egg with sriracha, every countries necessity!
Load More Replies...There is not enough food in that fridge for this to be a "typical AMERICAN fridge," this is right before they had to go to the store. LOL
My Fridge Here In London, UK. Yes It’s Packed So You Can’t See Everything I’ve Got, But I Know
Not British, but I never have those in my fridge. Wouldn't want them cold.

This is most like my fridge but it's not really a compliment, sorry.
I love how all three Texas fridges have at least one item from H-E-B. We love H-E-B.
I don't think anyone ever wants a look inside of my fridge (hint: food hoarder).
I've been hoarding food, too. What's that about?
Load More Replies...So relieved to know our fridge condiment wise is not as crazy as I thought, although we do have more than most posters, our fridge is easily one half condiments and pickled stuff.
I'm a little surprised at how many contain mostly condiments. I don't know why. I just am... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
