'Cause I don't. For some reason, it's really hard for my brain to compute the fact that there is an opposite force acting on a body. I mean, personally, I believe that the weight of the body slows it down.

How stupid is that?

Nobody except you pandas know this.

It’s not about what you believe it’s proven by science lol…rub your hands together as fast as you can… feel how they get warm? It’s caused by friction…moving on now…

I'm going to assume you aren't kidding, because I struggled with this idea for a while. Imagine putting on socks, and walking on carpet. You arent going to slide. On grass, it'll be a little slippery, on hardwood, slipperier, and on ice, extra slippy. So clearly different materials have different grippyness, and since you weigh the same, that grippyness is from friction. If friction didn't exist everything you touched would be like walking on uber-slippy ice. But friction is also a force, and force is dependent on mass*acceleration. Acceleration*mass = weight. So yes, friction does depend on weight, too. Friction measures how hard it is to move something. Which depends on both weight and grippiness. A chair is harder to slide on carpet than ice, but its easier to slide a penny than a chair.
