I adopted a one year old cat 5 years ago in the hopes that it would help with my anxiety. (That and I’d always wanted one). I went to Simply Cats shelter and within the hour found my perfect cat. She was so skinny due to one of the other cats in the room not letting her eat the kibbles set out for her. I named her Ruth because she was always following me around and I’m a Christian dork.
