They’re both a part of the Mr. Pokee family. Their owner, Germany-based Talitha Girnus, posts constant updates about them on her social media pages and they are wildly popular online. In fact, they have over 1.8 million followers on Instagram, having gone up by 300k fans since half a year ago.

Despite Herbee being a teeny-tiny hedgehog and Audree being a cat, the two have become inseparable. Talitha takes pictures of them against stunning backdrops as they all go on adorable adventures together. Not going to lie, their photos make me want to pack a suitcase and travel the world just like them (after the lockdown ends, of course).
“A few months after I adopted Herbee from a girl who couldn’t keep him due to severe allergic reactions, I adopted Audree. She was three months old when I got her and she was originally already reserved for someone who wanted to breed with her. But the lady canceled on her two days before I called,” Talitha told us.
They're adorable! Also, I need to visit the place they took this picture, the scenery is great.
this is so sweet <3 i would watch those cuties every day of quarantine
“It has been my dream for so many years to have a cat and Bengals get along well with other pets. I wanted a special cat that would go on adventures and travel with me, so there wasn’t much choice on the breed. And then one night I had a dream that I had a Bengal cat that I took on adventures and we became the best friends ever,” she said.
“When I woke up and realized it was only a dream, I became sad. But a few moments later I realized that this dream wasn’t something that couldn’t turn into reality. And so I started to Google. The first cat I found was Audree and I saw her and knew it. When I called the lady she told me the story and I felt like it was meant to be. Audree has 3 brothers while I have 2 brothers. They always played like crazy and she would be right there next to them being a bit shy and just watching. Just like me as a child.”
Talitha said that she took Herbee with her when she went to visit Audree once before making the final decision. “They immediately became friends! Now they’re inseparable! Wherever Herbee goes, Audree goes. She lays down on spots where he was, they sometimes even snuggle and play together. Audree is now almost one year old!
According to Talitha, when Herbee and Audree first met, they were curious and the hedgehog didn’t put up his quills and wasn’t scared of the cat. Meanwhile, Audree was very cautious.
“They eat together at night, sometimes from the same bowl. Audree likes Herbee’s food better than her own even though they eat the same food (except for Herbee’s insects). Audree is allowed in Herbee’s cage and sleeps there sometimes or just watches him. Herbee bit Audree once and she wasn’t hurt but meowed and left—it never happened again.”
Talitha revealed to Bored Panda that it’s become more difficult to take photos outside because of the quarantine. “Of course, we can go on walks and take spring photos, but we are in the middle of nowhere staying on a family farm at the moment and it’s only just starting to bloom outside. Of course, we can’t travel, but I think it also has a good side. It makes me appreciate going on adventures with them even more!”
Herbee and Audree’s owner says that the quarantine has taken them all back to their roots, given them more time to spend with their family, and helped them appreciate the little things. “Like a ladybug sitting on Audree’s head or Herbee smelling a little flower,” she pointed out.
You go after it and I’ll cover you! I’m behind you, all the way.
“It’s not about traveling further and further anymore, it’s about feeling happy where you are. It’s a great lesson! And it’s great to see and share the positive in this. I get a lot of feedback from our community that they appreciate our photos even more now. It’s just something small that makes them happy—and it makes me happy to read these messages.”
i need to know the sorcery what made cat sit calmly with something on her head
Talitha started posting pictures of animals back in 2015 when she got her hedgehog Pokee who was just 8 weeks old at the time. That’s why all of her social media accounts are named after Pokee, the original hedgehoggo.
Sadly, Pokee passed away and went to hedgehog heaven in 2019. But Herbee took up his mantle, filled his shoes, and keeps bringing smiles to our faces! Owner Talitha even got a tattoo on her wrist to honor Pokee’s memory. Though Herbee’s not related to his predecessor, he seems to share the same love for posing and modeling as his senior.
“Amazing people from all over the world are inspired to follow our adventures especially because they love our message,” Talitha writes on her webpage. “Between all the serious things happening in the world every day, Pokee and now also Herbee and Audree are here to give you a reason to be happy and smile. Whenever you return to our page, we want to remind you to never lose faith and always follow your heart.”
A heartwarming message and something to keep in mind, especially with everything going on in 2020.
Audree’s all slinky comfy, and Herbee’s all roly-poly comfy.

A hedgehog is a nocturnal animal. That looks cute, but is in no way animal-friendly !! Please don't support something like that!
I didnt want to say it, but I do agree with you. It looks all very cute and pretty, but nobody likes posing for insta-perfect pic's, specially animals dont.
@lynn duval Look up body language and calming signals in domestic animals like dogs and cats and wild animals. Learn something. And be positive 😊
You need to look again before agreeing with someone that probably finds fault in every aspect of life, negativity is not what we need now a days ! No one is more an animal lover than me and if and when I see what cruelty can be inflicted on innocent animals by some of the humans race I am sickened by it and would be the first to speak out , I don't see any of that here I see a deep seeded love for her animal , a beautiful way if sharing that love with all of us and we thank her for giving us the opportunity to be a part of that love , it gives us great pleasure if which we need more if these days !
My cats and hedgie get along great.
lynn duval, there are so many of those who confuse love with exploitation and even abuse. It's fine to take just a few pictures of your pets, or children. This reminds me of small children who are forced to compete in the beauty contests, and that is considered by psychologists as abusive. I don't see why would the world necessarily need more like her, and please don't renounce people for being profoundly compassionate, for thinking more deeply. There are performing animals which are so much abused by the entertainment industries but majority of people do not see anything wrong with it (they got a life!), do not care abut their suffering.
Agree with jevais and Lori, but BP does a lot of these kind of "Aah, so cute" posts, and so often ignores the welfare of the animals. By the way, cat is also a nocturnal animal.
Agree completely. 👍🏻

Get a life ! We all can see she loves these animals and gives them a wonderful loving fulfilling life ! And she shares all that with the world ! We need more like her in this world not like you !!
Lynn Duvel why are u be so curt! Animals are not gadgets.
not necesarry dude.
I don't want to be that one moody pessimistic dude, but im gunna be. I hate pages like this, they're so staged and portray everything in such a lovely perfect light, it's so twee. Sure its cute and the cat's a gorgeous one but come on. There's also a lot of photoshop going on here, and not just manipulation its full blown moving objects around - this is the type of s**t that's wrong with instagram imo, people putting stuff like this up and others being naive enough to think it's a true portrayal of life.
Indeed. Imagine the foolish risk if a few were actually taken on location with potential predators instead of using green background.
And the kitten never ages... How did they "travel" to all these places? Cute pics, but come on
Whew! I was afraid I'd be the only turd in the punchbowl. I personally enjoy the real relationships among animals, not laboriously staged overwrought ones. Joy doesn't require color coordinated miniature pastries.
Agreed. But at least these are harmless fun. A lot of Influencer c**p is dangerous...Like unsafe diets/workout regimens, snake oil sales, outright deception to make money, etc.
Not True, very dangerous for wild animals taken out of their natural habitat. Cats and least wild animals are very much attached to their territory.
You really think we all believe a hedgehog in a teacup is a "true portrayal of life"?? Come on, give us a little more credit ;) We all know it's staged and photoshopped, so what?
OMG, heaven forbid I should find humor and relief in these pictures of a goofy looking hedgehog and a stunningly beautiful Bengal kitten. Shame on me! Guess I'll go back to fretting about COVID-19, climate change, political corruption, lack of universal healthcare, homelessness, my aging mother, the jerk that cut me off in traffic....ad nauseum.....
OMG....Joe S. God forbid that you would find anything good in these photos, which, most probably were taken out of boredom. It is people like you who make the world the difficult and joyless place it has become. I once had a patient (I'm an ICU nurse) tell me that during her nap she had seen and spoke to Jesus. I was rather stunned and asked her what He had said, she replied that he had asked her if she "had done everything with love". She told him she had tried and he told her that was good enough. The sweet lady coded about a half hour later and we did not get her back. Here's a little love to you Joe...
You right, Joe, but the owner does not deny it is photoshop; in this case the models are animals and that's what BP goes after, get many followers.
Then don’t bother because you are that “moody, pessimistic dude.” For goodness sake, take a deep breath... this article was meant to relax, not irritate. It’s a cat and hedgehog. Were you expecting God? If not, back down...
If people want to take Instagram as real life that's on them. It's not a hidden conspiracy, everybody knows it's not real life. Photoshopping is what it is, and everyone knows it's used. It's just a tool.

Poo on you ! It doesn't matter what has been done to these pictures they make you feel good and people need that in these stressful times ! Don't critacize something that gives so many people joy ! If you are need if perfection you our a sad pathetic person ! Shane in you !
It doesn't "give me joy" to see an animal put in such un-natural positions. It isn't any more "cute" to see this hedgehog on it's back than it is to see a tortoise or turtle on it's back. I would SO love to see honest pics of them interacting in a natural manner.
Wild animals are not pets, one must be very selfish and childish to want to put a defenseless animal through so much cruelty.
the pics are amazing, but the cat does not look amused in much pics. the cat has big eyes and looks frightened .. and i dont think a hedgehog should be placed in a cup .. sorry, but they make the pics only for views and fame.
Exploiting small and fluffy creatures for fame yes but also financial gains !

You seem to be the only one with that option ! Jealousy will get you nowhere ! If don't like what you see Stop watching !
Hello Lyn Duvel, no we are not JEALOUS, Just very much concerned about the future of wild animals. You are being rude to assume if we have a different option, that we are jealous. Think before writing such nonsense.
One, is responsible for one's action. Hedgehogs are on the danger list. We humans are responsible for the state this planet is in.
