This Little Japanese Girl And Her Pet Poodle Will Make Your Day
1Mviews
Looking for new friendship goals? Then look no further than Mame and Riku.
Mame is a one-year-old Japanese girl, Riku is a giant poodle, and together they make the cutest companions you’ve ever seen. Mame’s grandmother documents their adorable exploits on Instagram, where the perfect pair have almost 80k followers. She also has two other dogs, Gaku and Qoo, but Mame and Riku seem to be particularly inseparable. Whether they’re sleeping, reading or playing on the trampoline, they seem to do everything together and they’re rarely far from each other’s side. Wish you had a friendship like this? We certainly do!
By the way, did you know that giant poodles, otherwise known as royal poodles, aren’t actually a separate breed of dog? They’re just common marketing terms to refer to very big standard poodles, which can weight more than 60 pounds (27kg).

The wonderful thing about standard poodles is that they lack all the negative traits that go along with the downsized "miniature" ones. They are just lovable fuzzballs, and they also make great hunting companions/helpers. Its a Plus/Plus here. :D
My toy poodle mix has no negative traits. Poodles are intelligent, they need stimulus. Lazy owners make hyper barky poodles.
I agree, some people think with smaller dogs that they don't need to train them like they do the bigger dogs because in a pinch they can just grab them in their hands. Its sloppy, and unsafe for the dog, and person. And they need stimulation and training like any other dog. We have 3 neighbours on our street with small fluffy dogs , that let them out off leash constantly to roam. They poop and it's left there, for others to pick up, 2 of the 3 have bitten people. If they were big dogs like pit bulls they would have been put down years ago. I have Briards and if my dogs ever got off leash accidently, or they got out the double gates without me,I have no doubt the council would be here before I knew it.
My parents had a toy poodle when I was a kid and it would poop in their bed and then lay there and eat the poop.
Not all smaller poodles are like that. I've been around plenty that were laid back and friendly too.
They are actually VERY good hunting dogs!
That is so stinkin' cute.
Awww, what a perfect fluffy friend for her.
