Not sure that is Dicken's best-*known* book - A Christmas Carol and Oliver Twist are probably better-known due to the movie adaptions.

Indeed, and I'd also rank Great Expectations as better known, quite likely others as well, like Pickwick Papers, Nicholas Nickleby, David Copperfield. Most widely-read would give a different list - I've never actually read Copperfield myself, for example, but have the others.
