Gay Man Gets Turned Down From Adopting A Rescue Cat, So He Shares The Texts Online
What makes you a good cat dad? Love for the animal? Owning a flat with a large enclosed outside space? Nope. Your sexuality, apparently.
Alex Andreou is a UK-based writer and actor who recently decided it was time to adopt a kitty. Following an ad, he traveled two hours to meet a person who said their little furball was in desperate need of re-homing. However, they changed their mind after finding out that Alex is gay. And that’s just the beginning of the story. As the bigot turned out to be a psycho, things just kept getting weirder and weirder. Scroll down to read the whole story in Alex’s own words.

"I am religious..." Well, that's your problem, Lady.... A cure exists, called Thinking by your own
I am religious but I'm not mean and also respect others lifestyles.
I just came to say exactly what Casey said, the same as being heterosexual is not a fuckin choice, or a lifestyle! When will people understand that,? We are supposedly not in the dark ages anymore!
That is good.
Adarious Mistdancer I don't know if you are naive, lying, or stupid. Could be the three actually.
Being gay isn't a lifestyle? Lifestyle Is something you CHOOSE based on your taste, personality And hobbies (for example being a metalhead And spending all your free time on concerts and festivals. That's a lifestyle). Being gay Is not a choice, ffs... Is being straight a lifestyle?
Casey and Iva, whether it be lifestyle (as some go back and forth) born with it, chose it, etc....whatever it is, whoever you are, I have no problem with it. That was my point.

okay, not sure why it shows two posts to one submit, but, as I said .. Iva, you are wrong. I have a friend who only chose to become gay later in his life. It very well 'can' be a choice. The idea that it's only something that occurs at birth is ludicrous and false.
A lot of people take themselves too seriously and think they know all of the answers to all of the questions in the universe. Some of those people are religious, some of them aren't. I try not to judge someone based on their faith, or lack of it.
If they bring up their faith and then behave like assholes of course they're going to be judged on their faith.
Well, it's hard not to judge someone who is openly professing a willful ignorance of reality.

I get really tired of people attacking a faith, especially on the actions of a few (or the only ones that 'media' decides to highlight, which are usually the negative / sensationalized ones. The sad part about that is, most of those people are right there to demonize the faith with as much hate as they are responding to from the person/people in question.
Hate is so far removed from anything Jesus ever taught. It's too bad people like that aren't self-aware so they can examine where they went wrong...

If your jesus existed, he supposedly preached about Hell, a place of eternal torment—if you didn't worship him. If your mythology is true, he is the most immoral, hateful person that has ever existed.
Being religious is ok. Hating someone because of it isn't, though
Unless their religion calls for taking your rights away.
Nosfentor, have you even met any religious people? Except at a hate church perhaps? Because we are not what you think we are. So don't judge us until you have truly been with us.
Actually, it is not. Religious people are some of the most hateful and ignorant people I have ever met.
"I am religious" always makes me want to say "and....what's that got to do with me?" I have beliefs....but I don't expect others to live by them ffs.
I think at this point she may need meds and indefinite stay at an asylum
Ahaha... you made my day, sir -> "thou shalt not give kittens to gays!"

I think the problem isn't the religion, it's more of what you perceive from your religion and how you act upon it. I know many religious people who are still very tolerant, accepting and kind.

haha I love the irony of you people putting down religious people by telling them they are ignorant or stupid . A passive aggressive hypocrite you are
I don't think that I am a hypocrite... I don't believe in any god, that is how I think and that's it. This Lady doesn't want to give their kittens to someone because he is gay and she justifies this with religion... I have read the bible and I can't remember the part "thou shalt not give kittens to gays!" :-)

your hypocrisy is in your comment. I dont agree with this woman but I also dont agree with you saying her cure to her "problem" is thinking on her own. I dont believe this story to be true but nonetheless I was speaking about your rude comment. You are no different than her big guy. That is the irony. Judgment for judgment does not equal kindness. You lack grace just as much as her
rude? i didn' t want to be rude...but I guess that refusing kittens to someone because he is gay is much more rude than my comment
There are some fucked up people in this world.. Glad it worked out for you Alex! Very cute little kittens with awesome names :D
Not fucked up just ignorant...close minded. We all have a comfort zone some people’s zones are that way too big lol
Wild ride.... but I do so love a happy pet story. Best wishes, Alex, Freddie and George.
