The Rockefeller State Park Preserve is introducing its inaugural coloring book, A Walk Through Nature, a tribute to the preserve’s natural beauty and the creative community it inspires. Conceived by the park’s gallery curator, Lisa D’Amico, the project brings together the talents of more than 30 artists, illustrators, and photographers, each contributing original works inspired by the park’s landscapes, wildlife, trails, and historic character.

Every contributor donated their work, turning A Walk Through Nature into a community-driven collaboration celebrating art and the outdoors. The curator envisioned the project not only as a creative keepsake, but also as a way to deepen public appreciation for the park and gallery while showcasing local artistic talent.

The park’s maintenance team also contributed special behind-the-scenes images to the book. All proceeds from sales will directly benefit the park and gallery, helping to support future exhibitions, programming, conservation efforts, and public engagement initiatives.

As the first publication of its kind dedicated to the park, A Walk Through Nature encourages people to participate in the shared experience of preserving and interpreting one of the Hudson Valley’s treasured green spaces and cultural destinations.
