There is a dark corner of the internet where people who are not entirely okay go to feel understood, and it is not a support group or a wellness forum. It is a Facebook page called Unhinged Mentally Ill Memes, and it is doing more for community mental health than most people will ever give it credit for.
The page shows us that if you cannot fix it, you can at least make it funny, send it to someone who gets it, and feel fractionally less alone in whatever is currently happening in your brain. The content is chaotic, occasionally dark, frequently too accurate, and consistently beloved by the perpetually unwell community that has adopted it as their unofficial newsletter.
