When a direct conversation is simply not an option, a passive-aggressive note is the way to go. It is cheaper than therapy, more satisfying than silence, and absolutely guaranteed to solve nothing while making everything way more interesting for everyone in the vicinity. The grievance gets aired with a notice on the office wall or fridge, and the coworker in question either ignores it completely or responds with their own note, and suddenly the breakroom has a whole situation going on.
