Whether you're a Mac OS or Windows user (come on, nobody is actually running Linux), you've probably heard at least one computer-y joke about Windows. Since its initial release 32 years ago, the operating system has had quite a few bugs and Windows updates, all of which caught the users at the worst possible time — completing a homework assignment that's due in an hour? Displaying an ad on a screen on the street? Too bad, the operating system will restart now. Period. And the announcements it makes usually are worth of the best meme title. Phrases like "this won't take long" or "something happened" raise more questions than they provide answers. Not to mention the painstakingly long time it takes to load Internet Explorer properly, and that's especially annoying if you had in mind some quality time for funny memes.

Totally hate the microwave bleeps (mine is perticularly loud). Have a perforated earddrum and certain high pitched noises actually hurt. Always try to press stop a couple of seconds before the program finishes

I remember trying to sneak online at peak rate time when it was expensive to go on line trying to boot up and this f****r would echo through the whole damn house till I discovered I could just plug in headphones. The modem was another one trying to muffle it with a tea towel. Lol!

Yeah, this is more of a Chrome issue. Check your task manager, and you'll see Chrome at least 8 times. Even when the setting is for it to all shut down when closed a few stay running.

Friend uses Windows 7 on his laptop and he kept asking me about upgrading to Windows 10 and I kept saying don't do it. Guess what he did! Few days later he asks me if I can put Windows 7 back on his laptop

Whaddayamean "nobody is actually running Linux"? I'm using only Linux for example, both at work and at home. I do help Windows users often and when I do that, I laugh at their problems and feel happy that I've finally and completely got rid of that junk.

I only use Windows natively now when it has gone wrong on a PC and I am getting paid by someone to sort it out for them. I moved all personal, production, photography and business functions from Windows to MacOSX in 2008 and I haven't missed the old bastard one single time. Neither have I missed the constant faffing about with glitches, restarts, and updates. It's great.

That's why my personal laptop is Mac. At least the newer PCs have MUCH quicker startups and updates. It was a night and day difference between my previous work computer and my current one. I still get the strange memory issue window quite often, however. Annoying.
