She will probably have a cat (or two; or three) on her lap while working. She's always having a blast. You know it because she laughs alone. All the time. And then she calls you and you will also laugh. This is a personal project of hers, "to release her brain and hand using the valuable inside information due to a lifetime of espionage at cats".
She usually doesn't have an opportunity to be so free with her style and ink because of the nature of the projects she's working on, so I found this series fascinating in its simplicity. Also, the accuracy of the situations we live every day with our pets is way too funny to not be share with other humans owned by cats. I bet you will relate to this cute illustrations in many ways, so I invite you to laugh with Tales From the Litter Box, by Corina Alvarez Loeblich.

I love this one. When my luckycat was a kitten she'd lay on my head while i was sleeping. Now thankfully she lays on my back or stomach depending upon how i fall asleep. And no matter how stiff i get, i try to stay still so as not to disturb her Highness

Our cats LOVE flower-water! (the water from every vase).. We have a trick, we use a big waterbowl for the cats but put a flower in it and put it on the windowsill.. It works ;p

After loosing several floral vases, I decided to pick the last very pretty dark green crystal glass survivor from cats and give them to them pretending its mine. I constantly change the water so it's always fresh (several times a day), and it's also next to a giant mug, where they have their food (I force them to share because they all have strong personalities). They will still taste your water and brake glasses and vases, but not THAT often!

I have 1 cat who MUST stick his paws in any liquid before tasting it. He knocked over so many cups I resorted to covered cups to keep from having to clean up spills. I tried the fountain and it just gave him another way to spread water everywhere.

I always put a bottle of water next to my bed for myself and a glass with water for my two cats. And as soon as one of my cats sees that I'm getting ready for bed, he sits and wait for my nightstand till I put down the glass of fresh water.

One of our cats drinks from EVERYTHING. We call him the "water-taster". He will even drink the water after you showered (full of soap and shampoo, he's OK with that). Toilet, bidet, every faucet on the house, your glass, your visit's glass, the pasta you're cooking... It's just sick!

Cats even use it to get better! I mean if they get in an accident and are real hurt, they use it to feel better (it has a healing effect) though in this case it's not a happy sound :(

OMG, he needs a diet! We had a cat who could be massive but he's 10 years younger than the other two, so the vet recommend us a low fat and protein food and that has work fantastic! Even Moira, who suffers from epilepsy, doesn't have any more seizures since she's eating that food! They are al very healthy and we solved 3 problems with just one food. It's the Vital Cat for elders, ask your vet about it!

I remember when I rescued my first cat years ago. On his first night with me, I woke up to him sitting on my chest staring deeply into my eyes! Scared me so badly, I smacked him clear across the room without thinking! It was totally an accident, but he never woke me up that way again! *L* Poor Boo!

This is practicay my life in drawings! I have the pleasure of living wit 5 of the most beautiful but devilish cats! I live wit fur on my clothes, furniture and sometimes food! I ave scars from scrams or from their bleeding my legs and can't keep a vase for the live of me! Totally worth it tho

The sayings are great but I'm in love with her style. I could totally envision a few of these as prints on my wall. I love when "comics" are elevated so that even those who stick their nose up at cartoons can see the skill involved in creating the art. Not remotely artistic personally but I LOVE cartoons and animation and comics. Artists like your GF offer much needed art to people like myself. The internet has been exceedingly awesome in showing just how much amazing art humanity has to offer. 4 dogs 5 cats I can say without hesitation that dogs have owners, cats have staff. *sigh*. You know, unless I missed it shes missing one very very important scenario. The one where kitty is on a mission to rub his poop speckled butt button in your face. Surely that cannot just be my cat. They come up all lovey and purrring and sweet then... BAM. B******e.

It is good to know that art is actually accesible to everybody now, and not just a few; and that all expressions are valid, and all the audiences are valid as well. I usually work on massive projects and even though I think I have the best job in the World, I don't usually have this freedom. I even forbided myself to designed drawings in measured frames. Sometimes is really difficult to get outside the box, and that simple gesture was actually liberating, just like the chosen technique. As for that b******e.. Yeah. I have it on my mind all the time and I still can't solve it just right. I have a bunch of sketches for the future, including those episodes. But I'm not convince, so I better wait: don't worry, eventually I'll find a great graphic way to make a joke out of it! I loved the "staff" word you use for cats! Yet... I think we're slaves. It's good to have some dogs around so you can regain some self-esteem! LOL!
