The World Cup will have a new champion this year. South Korea has just knocked out the defending champ Germany out of the competition in a 2-0 match. This is the first time Germany has been eliminated in the first round of a World Cup since 1938, and the internet is making sure no one forgets it. Creating one hilarious meme after another, everyone is pouring salt onto the country's fresh wound. The saying, "the bigger they are the harder they fall" has never rung as true as it does today. I'm German and I'm dying of laughter at all of these XD I was so happy for Korea, they were playing a really good football against Germany. I'm also rooting for Sweden now :D I want someone to win the championship who doesn't already have a star on their shirt ;) GO UNDERDOGS
