Dogs have a funny way of being adorable, confusing, and frustrating at the same time, but these cartoons by Rupert Fawcett will help you shake it all off your tail.
The London-based cartoonist has struck gold with his Off The Leash series, and for canine owners, these comics are just too close to reality. "The inspiration comes from growing up with dogs and the dogs of family members, friends and even strangers I may see out and about with their dogs." Rupert told Bored Panda. He takes apart supposed 'dog logic', and tries to rationalize the thoughts of dogs in different situations, with hilarious results. The scenes are heartwarming, too, because they remind us that our pups usually have the best of intentions, and most often just need a cuddle at the end of the day.
Rupert Fawcett rose to fame in the early 90's with his Fred cartoon series, and now has almost 1 million followers on Facebook. "The success of OTL is keeping me very busy and at the moment I am spending a lot of time working on scripts and storyboards for an animated OTL TV series which is currently in production." He told us about the future of his penned pups. Cat parents, never fear - Rupert released an On The Prowl book this year as well.

My bigger dog could not care less... the little one always wants to sit on my lap. (sigh)
I was dog-sitting for an officer when I was stationed in Heidelberg and this exact thing happened. We took the dog into town but prior we tried to get her to do her business. She ended up going right in the middle of a street that had heavy pedestrian traffic. Stupid me hadn't brought any bags along (left them in the car) and had to stand there with the dog and a big steaming pile of poo while people walked by giving me all kinds of looks. Some scowled, some laughed at me. My friend took her sweet time getting back to me with a bag.
My dog farts in her sleep and as soon as she realizes that she's farted, she runs away from it
I was at the veterinarian office last week. The gal came out and called for "Cookie". THREE people stood up with their dogs.... it was HILARIOUS
Yep, three Danes used to hold us hostage on our couches or beds, loved it so much. Miss them so much more :(

Hang on - our dogs don't stop! They keep on yanking things out of the bags in their search for any treats! Which would be great if we could train them to put it all away in the fridge!

Lol so true..i have a huge dog that "hides" under the bed when she's done something bad..her entire butt in hanging out from under the bed and i just laugh and say "you know i can SEE you."then i laugh and say "come out Roo, you're not froubles."(that's doggie speak for in trouble)
This is so my dog. Every time He doesn't have my undivided attention he comes with his paw and wants to be scratched on his belly.
My dog has slobby issues....so wipes lots...so gross... I love him, so we have little face towels just for him and we give him a wipe...now he comes to us for wipies...
My dog will actually stand under the umbrella with me so he doesn't get wet.
Both my dog and cat are terrified of our hoover but the cat especially. Once she was so scared she scratched me all down my chest when I was trying to carry her past it. Now I always make sure to put her in another room before I start.
