Yup. If a site doesn't let me click through the anti-ad blocker message, I leave. Bored Panda gets me as a visitor because they let me click through it, although they try to guilt me, lol.

Yep... You put your content behind ads, keep this in mind: I'd sooner test the strength of my stomach by eating all the cut grass in the neighborhood than disable my Ad Blocker.

I'd be more willing to whitelist ads for some sites IF I can be 100% sure that I wouldn't be hit by malvertising: https://www.cnet.com/news/new-york-times-bbc-dangerous-ads-ransomware-malvertising/ For various reasons most sites can't just serve up static image ads, it needs to have javascript and all sorts of crap enabled.

"checking online" .... two hours later ... "we could not find a solution". "This program totally screwed up" would be more honest.

All Windows "help" or self-diagnostic thingies just need to be one sentence: Turn it off, wait a few minutes, turn it back on. That's it.

That is when you hit ctrl+alt+del keys at the same time. OR, the power button to shut down, wait a couple minutes for the hard drive to come to a full stop and power back up. Don't try to log in when log in screen first appears, wait a couple of minutes.

Really? My printer will, if you tell it to print in grey scale. It then ignores the color cartridges. (It's a Canon, btw.)

You can actually bypass this on some printers. I don't remember how (Google your brand/model), but I was able to stop my BW laser printer from giving me this error, because after about 200 pages it would not print. After the bypass I must have been able to get 2000 or more out of the toner, an the prints are a bit faded, but more then adequate. So shamefull...

Printers are so much more trouble than they should be. They have one job and they often can't even do that.

Like I would have an essay due in an hour and windows be like, " I am starting your quick update, which will take ten hours and I don't care what you say, I'm starting right now". And then after it has finished It shows its only 30% done. And then we do the whole sing and dance routine all over again.

I had that s**t pop up on my laptop and I couldn't get it to go away. I worked PT as the bookkeeper of an IT COMPANY, so of course in a panic I called the tech at the office. He simply told me to unplug my computer and remove the battery. Wait 15 minutes and then plug everything back in and reboot. Works every time (which is thankfully not that often).
