In a previous interview with Bored Panda, when asked how the artist would describe Trying Times Comics to someone who isn't familiar with it, the artist said this: "Trying Times Comics is about nerd life, relationships, and these trying times. That's kinda the tagline I'm going with at least. But more specifically it's about my personal interests, conversations/situations I have with my wife and friends (and cat), and whatever else is going on around me."

This is actually a true story. A duck found and hatched an abandoned alligator egg along with her own chicks. The alligator actually comes back to visit the family and snuggle with them.

A sincere compliment can and should be accepted as intended. The person making it is not an idiot, so compliment is probably a valid observation. If they say it is a handsome tie, it is a handsome tie. Receiver just has to be careful not to get a big head about it.

Yep. My husband and my bed right there. Honestly though, It's cause I always end up trying to cuddle/touch him. I can't sleep without sooooooome part of me touching him. He puts up with it even if it's my ice cold toes. I love him! :) p.s. it is not a proper bed without the random sock mound.

I mean, it could be worse. My Portuguese classmate in elementary school had "olive" skin - as in, he was actually tinged slightly green at all times. It was very confusing for substitute teachers who were frequently like, "Are you okay?" Yeah, he just looks like that.
