“Alarmingly Bad” Comics By Jon Baker Full Of Humorous And Unpredictable Twists (34 New Pics)
Some comics ease you into a joke. Others give you just enough time to think you know where things are going before completely pulling the rug out from under you. Jon Baker, the cartoonist behind “Alarmingly Bad,” has made that kind of unpredictability a defining part of his humor, turning seemingly ordinary situations into punchlines that are anything but. “Alarmingly Bad” has made several appearances on Bored Panda before, most recently in our previous collection of Baker’s wonderfully unpredictable cartoons. Fortunately, he has continued coming up with plenty of new jokes since then, giving us another reason to revisit his work.
Baker finds material just about everywhere. His comics often begin with a straightforward setup before veering into something ridiculous, surreal, or very dark. Paired with his expressive characters and colorful artwork, even the strangest scenarios somehow feel right at home in the world he has created.

Good answer. When action could make things better or make them worse, it's usually the best strategy to take action. The exception is in wartime when the best action is to hide in a hole and refuse to take part.
"Chekhov's gun is a narrative principle emphasizing that every element in a story should be necessary, while irrelevant elements should be removed. If a gun appears early in the story then it should be fired later in the story."
My now-ex drove a '97 Toyota Camry for 10 years, until he got an '07 Toyota Camry. He's been driving that one ever since. It indeed makes concerning noises, but at least there are no bees. Yet. And yes, of course it's that champagne gold color... XD
Well, theoretically, two out of those three wouldn't have a weenis at all, and the third one is an animal, and (as far as I know) they don't have hang-ups over weenis size XD
That's not how I pictured Dr Strange! Oh it's a different one, phew.
Way back in Ye Olden Days I was setting up my very first email account with the help of my far more tech savvy SO at the time. The internet service provider's email client was a terminal program, so I (who had grown up using first and second generation Macintoshes) had to learn to use a terminal emulator program which had to be navigated with typed commands (and sometimes arrow keys and so on to move around the screen). Anyways, right after setting up the account I'm logging in for the first or second time and, even though the password prompt ALWAYS hid what you typed, I realized I messed up the previous character, so I back-spaced out of habit to fix it. He started saying "Oh no, you can't backspace and fix the password like that, it will still fail as an incorrect password and you'll have to try again." But since the only way out was through, I just kept typing the corrected password and hit "enter".... and it worked! He was totally shocked, lol!
Seriously. Stop blaming Satan for your own bullshit.
The content is whatever, but I'm always highly disturbed by the art style. Every single character looks like they've just been to the optometrist and had their eyes dilated, and/or they're high as fúck XD It's a style choice, and I personally hate it XD
Pretty sure this comic isn't trying to impress anyone. Just a cathartic exercise that they've opened up to the internet. There's one on their website that I LOLed to so hard I decided to follow it for a couple of months. It was a couple of months of realizing there wasn't going to be another LOL. I tried telling them that their Brain panels are the funniest and they should do more of those, but I don't think they even check the website, like... ever.
