Cat or dog, but still not husband. Our cats all snore, and our dogs snored too, just more loudly. To me, their little snores are the cutest things and just lull me to sleep. My husband snores, and I have to leave the room and go sleep in the spare bedroom to try to get at least a couple hours of sleep. I sometimes get to the point of not just making the bed shake to get him to stop, but also pretending to roll over and my arm “accidentally falling” on him. Kinda hard. That works really well, but I can’t just beat my husband up, so I just go to the spare bedroom. I’m considering separate bedrooms so I can sleep through the night every night for the first time in 25 years. I’m exhausted.

These can be the best evenings you have ever spent—-no having to dress up with full makeup, no wondering how much it’s going to cost and if you have enough in the account to cover it, no wondering if you’re going to make a good impression, no worrying that the something embarrassing that always seems to happen to you is going to happen again… You get my drift. An evening like this, with someone who never judges and just goes with the flow, can be so relaxing.

I mean, why are there always so many other people out in public, ffs? Why don’t they all—-or at the very least, the majority of them—-just stay home so I can have all the public spaces to myself (and if I’m feeling particularly gregarious, maybe a few, already vetted, people of my choice. Maybe a few of my favorite cats and dogs as well)?
