yes the pure happiness till they put their butts in your face i know this far to well
Actually a huge compliment, as it means they trust you to "have their back."
My dog does this too. He won't lay right on my face but he'll curl up under my arm pit. And then he farts throughout the night.
This left out the 10 minutes of them kneading your chest before they settle like that.
I wish my cat was as "well behaved" as this one. She jumps into bed every night, does cirlces, bites my nose and lays down. Get up, more circle, some squishy paws, more bites..arm, nose...chin. lays back down, butt aimed toward face. 10 minutes go by, im half asleep and boom wet nose on my face, teeth around my nose, purr purr squish paw, bite pur purr fart, sleep. Im uncomfortable, arm falling asleep cold, half uncovered because my cat needs to be undsr the blankets, but not touching her, so i have to hold the blankets up off of her, but god forbid i move them and a paw gets uncovered then its more bites...and i just stare at the ceiling until i drift off asking myself why has she become a terror..what happened to my cute little psycho puff?
Yes yes! And If you try to move them they give you a nice death stare. But... why? Is it to be able to cuddle and still have a view on whats going on?
Went to a whisky refinery in Scotland with the family while on vacation. Got super excited to interact with and pet two of their mousing cats that to my great joy did not run away 😻
Load More Replies...Our daughter went to one of her college friend houses that she had not seen in a couple years. The entire length of the drive her friend kept telling her my cat is actually friendly but he will be nervous since he hasn't met you before. Ignore his growling but do not let him till he calms down and stops growling at you. The second my daughter sat down he hopped in her lap and would growl at her friend if she reached to pick him up. He slept curled up with my daughter that night. She said he wrapped his paws around her in a huge cat/ Baer hug all night long.
Also me offering refuge from people who insist this cat is going to let them pick it up and dance around the room!
that one looks like a queen. scratch that. it IS the queen. BOW SLAVES. BOW.
*bows before the cat and offers the finest cat treats*
Load More Replies...Watching how excited they get when something moves outside is so worth loading a bit of your view!
Another version of the picture could swap out the window for the TV—-only while you’re watching it, of course.
Um, I doubt that you own the cats. Truth be told, the cats own us. Back in the day when you set up your own message on your home phone (now called landline), I had a message that said, "You have reached the home of Yum Yum and her human. Neither of us can come to the phone now, so please leave a message." It put everyone in a good mood, and I sometimes had trouble hearing the messages because the person calling was laughing so much.
Load More Replies...Same, though I also have fish and shrimp in aquariums that take up a whole bunch of photo space too.
I'm the same, but with my dog :) when I had my cat it was the same lol
It's amazing how big a mouth they have once they start yawning, right?
"Hello, this is my cat. She has murder mittens and murder mouth"
Load More Replies...I always wondered why they need their chicken breast cut into pieces the size of af dice, or they cannot eat it.
Mine also does that teeth clasping sound at the end, which makes me cringe :D
Mine has his eyes open at the same time. Looks really weird...
Um, where’s the person sticking their finger in there? Only me? And my vet? Sissies.
Haha I like to do that, too, the reactions are amazing :D
Load More Replies...Yes! We got a new refrigerator in July. Found about 20 hair bands, about 10 pens, a couple lighters, bracelets, and one unopened pack of cigarettes under the old one.
You could add pencils and pens, anything made of rubber, bottle caps and then some!
I bought a box of 36 toy mice, with the idea that I would dole them out a few at a time. I tossed out 4 to start and watched my Beans bat them all under the couch within 15 minutes. It only took that long because I gave him 2 and his mummy, Leia, 2. I put out 4 more and went to bed. Yep. They joined their fellows under the couch by morning. I fished them out from under the couch with both cats supervising and put them in a cardboard box with cutouts in the top for them to dig them out of. Most of them went right back under the couch.
The pool noodle cut in half length ways works to block toy infestation under your washer and dryer too.
Absolutely this happens, a real treasure trove of stuff finds its way under the sofa, But Never Money I Hasten to Add. 🙄
This is nothing, see what my mom found under her couch :D IMG_201805...3564e2.jpg
I have to use a back scratcher to get stuff out from under the stove and fridge and assorted cabinets
I have 3 cats; 2 boys and 1 girl. My youngest boy (and the only one who lets you pet him absolutely anywhere) moves with me during the night and doesn’t even wake up. My 17 year old boy likes to practically pin me down, and is always unhappy if I move at all. And my only girl contentedly sleeps in any of the unoccupied real estate on the bed, or downstairs. The one and only dog sleeps in his bed on the floor. Plus, the cats expand during the night, so my husband and I usually end up with about 6 inches of sleep space each at the edge of the bed. You know, the usual sleeping arrangements for pet parents.
My dog does the exact same thing and I can't get into the perfect spot to sleep because she's right in the middle,
Ever find yourself saying, excuse me to your Cat in the middle of the night??
My cat paws me on the head like going play with me. She don't want to do that at day time
Cats like dawn and dusk.. crepuscular species.
Load More Replies...Going down in the middle of the night to get food, your cat staring at you intently...or staring at someone behind that youcan't see?
Our cat was 10 months old when we adopted her. My elderly father would get up in the middle of the night to read. She would come to get me, meowing urgently. She thought I should also be awake. I had to train her that the rest of the house is NOT getting up. As I went to bed each night, I would tell her "It's sleepy time, kitty cat." I repeated that phrase when she woke me, and refused to get up. Now she leaves me be and curls up on the chair next to Dad as he reads.
Reminds me of my late doggo Babu. He was odd in a fun sort of way.
Load More Replies...Hey, how did you get a picture of my cat drinking apple juice? That’s her favorite to steal!
My dog unzips my bag and takes things out of it. She likes stealing gloves.
Our Bart would steal my hair ties. She was always digging in my purse. We had to stop her when she ate one and had to go to the vet. I stopped leaving them in there. She’s 16 now and getting senile. Any purse that’s open she sticks her whole head in, even my moms when she comes over. I just let her because she’s having fun!
why are people downvoting this it's a perfectly acceptable response
Load More Replies...Our cat does all of this- except draw blood. She's super careful with her teeth and claws!
My favourite is when my cat clamps down gently, but then just stays like that as if he doesn't know what to do anymore.
Load More Replies...My cat rolls over like she wants her belly rubbed and then she lets me pet her, like, twice. She then proceeds to sratch my hand, making me wish id never been born.
Guess I am very Lucky my Kali never gets to the fourth panel. She just walks away.
Ah, my precious kitty 100%! She can't wait to snuggle in bed & will scream at me from upstairs until I get ready to sleep. Then we cuddle & snore until morning. Couldn't imagine life without my little angel!
My cat would come cuddle when I went to sleep but 9/10 times when I woke up in the AM he'd be way across the room
(twines impatiently between your legs & tries to trip you as you are retrieving their noms)
My cat looks so adorable but as soon as you open the camera app, she either runs away or glares at you.
im half blind because of that my cat scratched the f***k out of my eye
Oh so relatable. Every time I try to do a close up Kali moves. So I move again try for the shot and again she turns. At this rate no one is going to get a current photo on the websites I follow.
If you try to photograph something else, then the cat will jump into the picture.
Funny how two animals that weigh just 10 pounds and 15 pounds can sound like a whole herd of Shetland ponies when they're doing that.
Load More Replies...Or you hear that telltale hairball heaving sound. It could wake the dead.
As we speak my cats are doing precisely that (running at the speed of light banging into all and sundry) WONDERFUL !
It seems my bed is part of the racetrack that runs through my apartment!
Sometimes I just yell at her to stop and she does. However the rest of the time I keep fussing and I think she continues because it makes me irritated.
Ours has helped me so much. He was not trained but he somehow figured out that I do not realize the nerves in my face are acting up at first. He started coming to me winking when my eye we not closing if I missed what he was telling me he puts his paw on my wrist and then winks again. This has helped so much because I take the med that helps sooner and that cuts back on the amount of pain.
I can’t imagine life without my cats. They provide, love, laughter, entertainment and all unconditionally.
this is so my cat!!! It start meowing loudly like someone tryna kill it at the weee hours 😢😅😅
Load More Replies...I have an 18-year-old, she feeds like a newborn: 12 pm, 3 am, 5am, 7 am....
Congratulations! Well done to care for her so well to get to a great old age for a cat.
Load More Replies...I explained to my cat that if she was to be allowed in the bedroom at night, she had to be quiet 11pm to 7am. She has acceded to this. I have not pushed it to coming in when called and not scratching the sofa.
Mine gets me up at 4 o'clock every morning! It's funny and a little frightening that I don't really mind.
The minute my alarm goes off she moves from her spot at bottom of bed on to my chest kneading and purring and meowing cause it’s food time lol
Mine is hunting these ugly fat spiders. Then she takes them in her mouth, and usually drop them on me as gifts. I want to burn myself.
mine just looks at me, unaware of the bug I want her to get...
I once held my cat at arms length on top of my head so she would get a spider. lol
Mine caught a mouse one night and brought it up on my bed. It was still alive and they had a wild chase all over me, the blankets and pillows. I ran screaming.
Mine brings mouse, birds, alive frogs en eats flies. But spiders really freak him out!! Takes after his mommy I guess :p
Hey, what are friends for 😉 I don't have a cat but my dog catches spiders, he always takes them to his mouth, makes little spider ball and then spit them out. I am scared of spiders 🙂 and sometimes brings bugs or worms as a gift which I don't appreciate much 😊 but he is such good boy.
Thank you for noticing that!! It made the cartoon for me, and my old lady eyes would have missed it without your comment! Live long and prosper, friend.

I'm not hungry right now. But the bowl is empty. I might be hungry soon. So fill it NOW!
Funny story, I was making my bed and as I was pulling up my sheets, I didn’t notice my kitty, Sadie, crawled in from the other side. I look over and see a meowing lump so I reach to untuck the sheets to release Sadie before she starts freaking out. I grabbed a corner, but being a playful (cat? kitten? catten? She was that in between age) she clawed my hands through the sheet. She had very sharp claws at the time. I went for another corner and she ran to the other side of the bed and attacked my hands. This “game” went on for a good 5 minutes until she let me grab the corner and free her. After she jumped out, she glared at me and looked like she was angry I didn’t let her out sooner.
Here’s a picture of Sadie. The button wouldn’t work earlier. 5DDD5444-F...0-jpeg.jpg
Cats love nothing more than helping mom/dad make the bed—-especially when they get under the covers!
One of mine is 7, had him since he was a baby. 3 years ago, I swear to the gods, he watched me pull out a bag of new hair ties, and put them in a drawer. He. Watched. The next day, that one drawer was opened, and the new bag of ties were gone. He now opens every drawer in the house when they are closed. The smart snot.
Be careful. I’ve seen cats that had to have surgery to remove lots of hair ties from the stomach.
I worked with a girl whose cat was eating them! Her guy got sick and she showed me the xray from the vet. It was insane! he had to get them surgically removed.
Cats cant really see in the dark. They need a light source. Or so im told. I keep the bedroom light on low so my cat smooch wont keep falling off my windowsill and onto my nightstand. Big mess.
Actually cats have better night vision than humans and the richness of what they're able to see between light and dark isn't that different. This is why cats are mostly nocturnal hunters :-) https://www.livescience.com/40459-what-do-cats-see.html
Load More Replies...Has she learned how to turn the handle on her own? I had one that did that.
Load More Replies...For a while we had to keep the bathtub on a dribble for our one cat, we spoiled him because of his medical issues.
Load More Replies...I haven't met a cat yet who didn't prefer running water to a dish of water.
Lmao you shouldn’t let your cat drink from the toilet when you’re in it!
Load More Replies...my vet said this is a sign of evolution in cats - realizing that running water has less of a chance of being stagnant & carrying diseases that could make them sick - that's why more & more cats refuse to drink still water anymore. (one of my 5 will only drink from the sink. the rest have not evolved yet lol)
We bought cat fountains because of this. Read they don't like stagnant water. Catit sells adorable ones for @$20 on Amazon.
My cat had a cat bowl with running water, but we had to get rid of it because she would pull off everything and just watch the motor spray water all over the bathroom.
Load More Replies...There is a children toy that lets water flow without having the faucet on (with standing water). Cat owners should consider it, so their cat can have their way but without wasting water.
That is exactly what happened to me. I dunno, do cats have some secret club where they exchange their experiences about where to get food for free? I don't own any cats but I feed 6 of them!!!!!
Yes, yes it is, I am def on my way to becoming one, I can't help rescuing them, and then they love you and then what are you supposed to do? Luckily my dog is fine with cats, i.e., meaning he ignores them and just gives me dirty looks from time to time, but treats take care of that LOL

Happening to me right now. From 1 cat food a day fro strays I upgraded to 4-5 a day.
We play that one, especially "stuff under the rug!"
Load More Replies...I spent 30 min with a laser pointer last night trying to make my cat turn off the light. It finally worked.
My cat plays "steal the q-tips one at a time, and hide them inside shoes and under pillows."
We have a rather large great Pyrenees so as her bed we took an old twin size mattress and put it down with some soft topping. The cat takes the entire damn thing and the poor dog is sleeping on the tile next to the bed lol.
Our cats won’t go near the bed unless we’re using it.
Load More Replies...That's my Benji. If I stay up late he comes around to bug me to go to bed. Silly Cat!
Next picture should be in the bathroom. Kids or animals, there’s no such thing as privacy for mom and dad.
My cat literally jumps on my lap while I'm in the bathroom.
Load More Replies...I have one that gets close and sniffs the water first—-so he ends up sneezing water out of his nose. Yep, he’s a weirdo.
my cat does that but you need a few more panels she then will dip her paw in and lick it do this a few times the look up at me and yowl till I pour out the full bowl! YES a full bowl and fill it up this happens every few hours.
My cat does this with food when he wants it! He will poke it and then he trys to drag it away, and he on,y does this with chipotle, rice, cheese balls, tuna, and mayonnaise....... yes. Mayonnaise
One of my cats is addicted to Marmite of all things!
Load More Replies...I have one who's water check is not nearly so neat. Splosh splosh ......sploshsploshsplosh yup it's water. Meanwhile everything within 10 feet is a giant puddle. Yeeeeaaah she's restricted to an inch in the bowl now.
I posted on the water facuet pic above that 3 of my cats now drink from the faucet. One of them is Spooky. When the faucet isn't on, she actually goes to the bowl and uses her paws to scoop all the water out of the bowl, and onto the floor. And then licks the floor. She is a weirdo.
Mine puts his paw in the water and then liks his paw. Over and over again.
My cat Ralphie rarely drinks out the fountain. He always dips his foot in and drinks the water from his toes.
they think its time for rubs and your like no oh but your so cute lol
Discipline and cats don't go well together. But, our cat totally understands not only the word "no" but the level of seriousness with which it's said, and will stop what she's doing. Then I always give her something to reward her (not pets) like a treat or a toy or time playing. She's really very cooperative.
I fussed at my calico (Calamity Jane) one day. The next day I went to use the phone on the answering machine...no dial tone...and why is the receiver wet?...and why is there a puddle under the machine?? Oh yeah, she got even.
This is my cat Ariel decades ago when I lectured her for beating up her son. ariel_afte...b5b92a.jpg
Our cats have learned the TONE, but sometimes we have to resort to a squirt bottle. I was using setting spray the other day and my cat Biscuits looked at me all freaked out because I WAS SPRAYING MYSELF. Needless to say, it was pretty funny.
My cat never gets on the counter or tabletops. Or does he? Cause there's cat feet prints on my dresser. He's sneaky that one.
Once my husband and I were leaving for the supermarket. Our cats watched. They knew what we were doing and knew we'd be away for a while. So we leave but went right back in a couple of minutes later because we'd forgotten something. They were all on top of the kitchen counter looking at us with shocked faces.

Ninja Cat, Ninja Cat, does whatever a Ninja Cat does. Can it hide behind a chair? Yes it can ‘cause it’s Ninja Cat. Look out, here comes Ninja Cat!
One of my cats used to do drive by swiping on my ankles. Fortunately I wear jeans all the time so he was mostly thwarted, lol.
Can’t wait to get me an alley cat to eat ahi tuna and have catnip with 😘🐈
Servant I am so extremely dissatisfied with your performance. I shall make other arrangements.
My little brother was living in my apartment a while back and Afrodita was a little kitten. One time my brother was working in his laptop and the charger was there. In two minutes Afrodita was done with it. My brother had to buy another one and only charge his laptop in his office.
Oh yeah! And mine are smart enough to only do it when the charger is NOT plugged in!
When mine was a kitten, she bit through the router power cable. So much hate. I spent the weekend without internet, rubbing soap on all the powercords in the house.

I have one who hates to be under cover.. and one (his sister) who sleeps there all night and purrs like she wanna win a contest of comfyness.
This is my Smudgy 100%. The only time she’ll stay under the covers for any more than 5 seconds is if I’m sitting in bed with my knees drawn up making her a tent.
My dog does this. She is smaller than most cats. Sometimes she wants to get in by my feet and I have to hold the duvet up for her while she has a good long think about how well I'm doing it. Sometimes she clearly thinks 'must try harder' as she will wait until I have improved the way I am holding it up. 😟
Christ on a bike, this is so true. I call it the 'cave'; Lollie wants to get in, but once she does, she's back out in moments.
Not to mention Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday nights.
Load More Replies...My Smudgy (female) and Bazzy (17 year old male) love kisses. Jack (youngest male) not so much, but he will let you pet him anywhere, including his belly.
This would be a great plan for my kids aswell 😂 I clean and organize their drawers, and 5 minutes later it looks like a tornado went through our house 😅

I’ve read it was to cover their food for future use but it does look as if they are saying this food is poo. My cat sort of grew out of doing it but maybe she just trained me to provide acceptable food.
I was told that when a cat scratches near their food, they are using the scent markers in their paws to label the food as "theirs" so no one else touches it?
Yes and it's also like in the wild utying it so other animals don't find it. Same reason they cover their poo.
Load More Replies...It would be more accurate with a small handful of dry food, at least in our house.
Mine is upset anytime he can see the tiniest spot of the bottom of the bowl.
I have an indoor cat and whenever I open the front door she tries to run outside. If she makes it out, the first thing she does is see how much dirt and sand she cat get in her (thick) fur before I grab her. If you were wondering, I keep Sadie inside because she tries to start fights with strays, but she can’t do much more than play and I don’t want her getting hurt or sick.
You don't need to explain why you keep a cat indoors, lots of people do. In fact a lot of vets have recommended keeping them indoors in general to avoid illness or injury. They can still have fulfilling lives without having free reign outdoors.
Load More Replies...In most cases, a cat would not need to be washed with water. Cats groom themselves naturally, so regular brushing is usually enough to keep your pet looking clean and comfortable. However, there are occasions when knowing how to give a cat a bath is necessary. They may have soiled themselves in the litter box.
Load More Replies...Yeah, short hairs don't need it. Those with long hairs, however, can use the occasional bath. Not often, though... combing is much less traumatic to them and should mostly do the trick.
Load More Replies...Yeah, if I'm in bed already, my cat is fine with laying on the side or near the end of the bed, but if she's already lying there, she's usually right in the middle and seems really offended when I try to move her.
And even though you leave at the same time 5 days a week, they still come running toward you with a “where you going?” look on their faces.
How about that imaginary thing on a completely bare wall or ceiling that has them either totally transfixed or spitting with hair raised and back arched?
Not so long ago, I was walking through the "forest" near my parents' house after dark when my dog, which is usually peaceful and quiet, started to bark furiously looking at an apparently empty space among the trees. I couldn't see or hear anything, but it was a really scary experience.
Load More Replies...Weirdly this ( adopted this year 14 year old cat ) does not do this. Sleep on my right side only. Under the covers in this cold winter. Dunno what will happen in summer.
Sometimes the best Saturday nights are not spent dodging obnoxious drunks in a hot crowded bar, but totally relaxed at home with your best fuzzy buddy, in your jammies with snacks and a good show/movie on TV.
Yeah, I learned long ago that, if it’s breakable and you want to keep it, you must either put it on a high shelf, invest in in an enclosed glass display case, or give up entirely and carefully pack it away for some future time when someone has finally come up with a workable solution.
Nope, a high shelf is just a challenge to them. 🐈
