My name is Elijah Elsberry, and I’m a photographer based in the beautiful state of Idaho. For the past 12 years, I’ve been capturing the world through my lens, starting with the wild and untamed beauty of nature. What began as a passion for wildlife photography has grown into a lifelong pursuit of storytelling through images — and more recently, an exciting dive into the fast-paced world of sports photography.

Living in Idaho has given me endless opportunities to explore nature up close. From spotting a western tanager in the trees at Kathryn Albertson Park to witnessing a mother hummingbird feeding her young, I’ve spent over a decade documenting the small, fleeting moments that make the outdoors so magical. Wildlife photography taught me patience, attention to detail, and the importance of being present — lessons that continue to shape how I work today.

In recent years, I’ve expanded my focus to include sports photography. The energy, intensity, and raw emotion of athletes in motion drew me in. I found that the same instinct for timing and anticipation I relied on in nature translated seamlessly to capturing powerful moments on the court, field, or track. Whether it’s the concentration in a player’s eyes or the split-second peak of action, sports photography challenges me to stay sharp and think fast — and I love it.

You can find a collection of my work on Instagram at @elijahelsberrystudios, where I share highlights from both my wildlife and sports photography journeys. Every photo tells a story, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to keep chasing new ones — wherever they may lead.
