From Office Worker To Doodler. From Doodler To….

I’ve been working at a desk for years. Not exactly what you’d call my dream job, but there really has the crux of the problem:

I dont have a dream anything.

I’ve always been able to do a good job at the mundane jobs throughout the last 10 years of office jobs, constructions jobs and side jobs, but …my dream?

Lately it’s been to retire.

But then I was asked to draw a tattoo for a friend. He’d seen some sketches I’d done while bored at work, and requested I put something together.

I did, and hearing the feedback awakened something… different, deep down.

I started drawing and recording the process while posting the results online. Suddenly I was staying up past midnight (not a common thing when you have a 1 year old) to finish these 1-2 minute long videos. One drawing even was purchased for $200! This blew my mind! People were interested in what I did for fun??

Still very much at the beginning of the journey but now I can say that things are different.

Now I can say that I’m finally dreaming.
