How long does that take? That is the by far the most common question we get at shows where we sell our art and it is a difficult question to answer since most of our pieces are done in batches over weeks or sometimes months. So, we made this short video to show the entire process for one vase, including the burning with high voltage electricity and embedding the fractal burns with glow in the dark epoxy.
My brother and I work almost exclusively with wood from storm damaged trees or trees having to be taken down for other reasons. The tree in this video had a terrible infestation of ambrosia beetles and was removed at the advice of an arborist to protect the house in which it was in front of.
