The news of pollution in the Earth’s oceans is a troubling one, given they cover 72% of the Earth surface and are our major food source. The corals especially are the lifeblood of the seas, venting oxygen and keeping billions of aquatic lives alive.

Man made materials like plastics threaten this important resource, affecting not only animals which call them home but the corals which are important producers of oxygen.

Due to this phenomenal, french artist Aude Bourgine, overwhelmed with a sense of guilt has sort to draw awareness through arts and crafts with here lastest project ” lung of the ocean”

The Rouen based artist makes artificial coral reefs out of plastics and papers, coloured and glitterized, and encased in glass jars. Below are several of her exquisite works.
