Here’s How A Snow Fox We Rescued From A Fur Farm Reacted To Snow For The First Time In His Life

Maciek is a polar fox who, in September of 2019, was rescued from a fur farm by activists from Otwarte Klatki (Open Cages Poland).
Since he was rescued, Maciek has been living in a home sanctuary where he’s loved and taken care of. Even though he lost his paw due to his previous owners’ negligence, he’s been enjoying his life outside of the fur farm and just being his sassy little self.
This year, Maciek experienced snow for the first time. And his reaction was simply heartwarming!
Photos are by Andrew Skowron from Otwarte Klatki.

Maciek was rescued by activists after they found out he was wounded
It turned out he had a severe paw injury and he didn’t get any veterinary care
The doctors fought to save his paw for weeks, but in the end, it had to be amputated
However, having 3 paws doesn’t stop him from having fun and experiencing snow for the first time
His dog friend Klara showed him that snow is supposed to be fun
But Maciek wasn’t that convinced at first
Finally, he caved and gave it a chance. Apparently, he loves snow!
He needed to regain his energy
So that he could go chase Klara once again!
They were both puppies when they first met, so they treat each other as siblings
Maciek got very lucky and gets to live the best life. But he’s also an ambassador for all the foxes still killed for fur
Watching Maciek’s first experience with snow proves that foxes need running and fun!
And he knows his caretakers won’t stop until all the animals get what he was lucky enough to get—justice

I don't know who is still wearing real fur but it isn't worth killing that beautiful boy.
Fur "farms" should be forbidden! We don't need real fur anymore and the way animals are killed for fur is extremely horrifying and cruel. I think fake fur is really cute and warm and can replace real fur.
So, the thing is, fake fur is plastic or something like it. I'm not saying to buy from a fur farm, I agree, they can go die in hell. What I'm saying is, there are more options than plastic fur and a fur farm. Buy fur from indigenous people. They hunt to live, (I think), and buying from them instead of a farm supports individuals. At the least, you know it's not going to a fur farm. Also, I don't think you have seen the meat industry...
I agree, also one does not have to use such fancy matterials like snowfox fur. Lether, wool and hide is a byproduct when sheeps are breed for meat and they are perfect for clothes and shoes.
Thank you for advice, but I wear mostly padded jackets in winter. I know it's plastic and difficult to maintain, but I find fake fur coats cute, though. But if I would buy real fur, it would be from hunters, where animal is dead before it is skinned. But I don't consider that now. I have seen meat industry, but I don't know how would anyone manage to fight that. It's just too large, enormous and most people think that without meat industry they wouldn't eat meat so they are very angry when you mention that you are against. You would eat meat without meat industry too, but it would be hunting and small farms meat and unlike now, 80% of meat would not go to waste. It would all be spent. Or, maybe I am just naive. :(
If Gene Simmons were a snow fox.
