Ford Made A Crib Which Tricks Your Baby Into Falling Asleep. Why Didn’t We Think Of That Before?
New parents would tell you in a blink of an eye – the hardest part of it is to get your baby to sleep. There are, of course, ways to make it happen, and the one that works for a lot of parents is getting the baby into the backseat and just drive around. But you can’t go on doing that all day… and thanks to the designers at Ford – you won’t have to.
The Spanish branch of the company has created the Max Motor Dreams baby crib, which simulates the soothing ride in the back. It has LED lights which mimic the passing street lights, it has the speakers at the bottom which make muffled engine sounds for ambient noise, and it has the rocking mechanism, which gently vibrates the crib. It even comes with an app designed to track your car’s route in order to reproduce the movements from that exact drive your baby enjoys the most.
For now, there’s only one test crib made, however, according to Ford, “following numerous inquiries, the company is considering putting the unique cot into full‑scale production.”

Share on FacebookI wonder if a child always sleep with this, does it conditioned to it, and maybe also fall asleep when it is grown up and should/could drive a car
Yes it does! My friends parents did this to her as a child and now whenever she is a passenger she falls asleep. She has done this on several first dates...LOL
Load More Replies...I would have found a way to buy it! When I think of all the 3a.m. drives.....
Load More Replies...I wish they would design something like this for us insomniacs
I am just wondering about the LED lights. Constant exposure to lights can cause dry eyes, cataracts and retinal damage.
The video shows the light pulsing like passing street lamps. So it's not constant and only affects them until they fall asleep. Which would happen relatively quickly. It's a valid concern but I think a minimal one.
Load More Replies...But it cannot mimic the g-forces that a baby feels. You might as well put them in a baby seat on the dryer.
The problem with this is that if the baby gets so accustomed to needing this to sleep, it may react even worse when the parents want to stop using it. It can't use this forever...
Babies sleep because this works how a cradle works and seeing same type of patterns is like Hypnotism and you end up sleeping and when people call this as invention damn!!. Its just a cradle with motors and lights nothing else
Same thing happening when you take your child for a walk in a trolley to the park, or when you start to whisper, it's just about similiar noises which are heard in prenatal life.
This is great! definitely will use when I have kids. They should make them for older middle school kids like me. It would help soo much.
