Afros Turned Into Flowery Galaxies To Make Black Women Proud Of Their African Heritage
46Kviews
Pierre Jean-Louis, a visual artist from US, creates mesmerizing portraits of black women by transforming their hair into flowery galaxies. By turning their Afros into works of art in his series, “Black Girl Magic,” Pierre wants to let black women know how much he appreciates them for embracing their African heritage.
“A lot of [black women] are brainwashed to not appreciate their natural beauty,” Pierre told Bored Panda. “Especially in 2016.Earlier this year I saw so many black queens who feel comfortable enough and proud to show their African heritage so I decided to start this series to let them know how much I appreciate them and their natural beauty. I just want them to see how we black men see them when they’re rocking their natural hair. We see nothing but #strong #Goddesses & #queens thank you.”

"I want the whole world to know that Mother Nature is actually black (..)" Really? Only black? No other color?
Maybe he is secretly colorblind.
Black is actually the absence of any color when dealing with light. :D
And Father Time is half Mongolian and Necessity, the mother of Invention, is a bag of grape Big League Chew.
Obviously this is a dedication from one man to one kind of woman you greedy emo ratface booger bunny. It said "black women" in the title why the fuck did you click it? Because you look like a rat with a wig? If it said "pollocks" none of these black girls would of clicked on it, especially not to come throw shade you raggedy ejaculation dumpster-mouth ballsack ballerina. all of the girls with your name on facebook are ugly as fuck
That's what the French guy said.
"I shopped north-european plants to their heads to make them proud of their african heritage"
Someone is upset, must be jealousy.
I don't think where the plants are from geographically has much to do with being proud of their ethnicity. Neither the photoshopping itself, considering it is made to look artistically good and doesn't have to be specifically African plants if that's what you wanted it to be.
I lack an understanding of how photoshopping plants onto someone makes them oroud of where they came from. Also, if the photographer is trying to make them proud of their heritage, wouldn't it be appropriate to use plants from where they came?
I'm white, and I've always envied this kind of hair - so gorgeous!! These girls are stunning, too. Not sure what the artist meant by, "I want the whole world to know that Mother Nature is actually black (..)" but great work regardless :]
