This past 4th of July (2018) I had my first go at capturing some fireworks from Seaworld in San Diego, CA. After enjoying a family dinner we all followed each other up the iron spiral staircase to the beautiful view of Mission Bay leading into the Pacific Ocean. I was equipped with only my Canon Rebel t6i, one battery & one 32gb memory card. (tripod broke recently) I rested the camera on a table, opened the 360degree LED display adjusted my settings – 1/5 shutter speed f5-f8.0 ISO 1600 – 3 second timer – I used the touchscreen to select my focus once the fireworks started and took as many I could. Overall satisfied with results although I know I could have spent more time editing (lighten them up).
