This Artist Remakes Famous Movie And TV Show Posters In A Satirical And Funnier Way (30 Pics)
Interview With ArtistPosters are a very important part of movies. It's the first thing we see when we go to the movie theater. They show what the movie is all about, setting the vibe and tone for the type of film it's going to be. But what if we tweaked the posters just a little bit to make them funnier? Or maybe even make a statement?
That's exactly what a digital artist from Chicago, known as Doctor Photograph, does. He takes the posters of movies we all know and love and digitally edits them to make a parody, a comment, or sometimes even a political statement.
The artist told Bored Panda: “One day I saw a product parody online and was fooled absolutely into thinking it was real. After a good laugh and sending it to all my friends, I thought I should try to get in on the fun myself.”

Doctor Photograph was inspired by parodies, so no wonder his work is a reflection of that. The artist likes to remake movies and TV show covers with a sarcastic comment about the plot, ending, or how long the show took to finish. He even makes some comments on the more controversial topics, like politics or actors breaking the law.
It was funny. It fell off in the last couple of seasons and i never even finished the last season but I enjoyed the show.
There were a few early seasons where they had a bunch of nontraditional and smart women, like Amy, Bernadette, Priya, Leslie. But pretty soon it got turned into "Girls hang out with Penny and talk about their men whilst drinking wine" and ugh. They also completely missed incorporating the fact that nerd culture went mainstream big time during the course of the show itself. Imagine if instead of the same tired "Girls don't like our boy-centric nerd stuff because it is so smart and special and male" cliches, they had actually included realistic things like Penny-the-actress loving Marvel movies because of all the hot men and cool special effects and wanting to play a kick-ass superhero herself, or Amy discovering Manga Chaucer at the comic book store, or Leslie being part of their D&D or Halo gaming nights? Imagine a plot where the guys have to come to terms with the fact that everything that made them outcasts 10 years ago is now the norm?
Load More Replies...Terrible show, Sheldon ”black” jokes made me cringe. Like how he tried to give a Black woman a fist bump when she was trying to shake his hand or giving her a copy of Roots (slavery movie). Those types of jokes are outdated and lame.
No doubt. The arrogant, racist, selfish, narcissistic sheldon was done season one.
Horny single men trying to get laid. Pretty much. So much more potential, but they devolved into a standard Chuck Lorre show.
Hey, now. Most of the comments/quotes my husband & I make to each other come from this show. But then again, we are nerds, so there's that. Having Bob Newhart as "Professor Proton" was a stroke of genius as far as we're concerned.
Horrible show, and an incredibly misguided and insulting depiction of geniuses. I’m a tolerant soul, but I absolutely judge people based on whether or not they like this show.
My favorite was the reviewer who compared this to Community. Big Bang-stupid jokes about smart people...Community-smart jokes about stupid people. Says it all. And it was often body shaming and terribly homophobic. Never funny.
Hated this show for the first season. Maybe 2? Then I enjoyed it, now I don't mind watching the reruns
Nah, this was one the best comedy series America ever came up with. If they were parodying Everyone Loves Raymond then it would be accurate.
Because it was brilliant and millions of people enjoyed watching it.
Probably the worst TV programme ever, closely followed by 2 and a half men.
I don’t get what was so bad about it. Unless you’re a straight up loser, the fact that it wasn’t exactly how life as a scientist goes shouldn’t be a reason to hate it. Just like cop shows aren’t how life as a cop actually goes. I like laugh track sitcoms and this was one of the last of them. Sure it’s a “bad” show but that’s what all sitcoms are. Half an hour of nonsense to laugh at.
It was racist and homophobic as hell, not to mention all the built/in misogyny.
Load More Replies...I liked it until the time machine episode. Also the TARDIS episode.
Pop references you've seen in a dozen movies before, but stated like they are the most hermetic scientific facts so you can feel very smart for getting it.
You mean, tedious and funny at once? Interesting.

The digital artist has almost 40k followers on his Instagram and is always growing because a lot of people are enjoying his edits. The goal of them is to give people a good laugh or maybe even trick some of the more naive ones into thinking his creations are real.
The artist shared what inspired him to create these edits: "The first fake product I ever photoshopped was a Heinz flavor mashup called Mayonster, which was Mayo combined with Monster Energy Drink. After seeing how far it spread (pun intended), I knew I had to keep going."
We have lots of similar posts to this one here on Bored Panda. Here's one showing the worst and funniest products out there, or perhaps you want more funny and silly edits that are bound to bring a smile to your face, or maybe you would like to see this artist use Photoshop to create surreal giant cat landscapes? These and many more on Bored Panda!
Doctor Photograph told us how he got into art: "I'm a big fan of comedy podcasts and a lot of times comedians will tell a joke or tell a story that just needs a visual. I bought and learned how to use Photoshop just so I could get in on the fun of making those images."
The artist shared the most difficult part of creating these edits: "Rather than just photoshop a store in the background of my products, I like to go to supermarkets, video/music shops, or electronic stores to give them a realistic look. Obviously, this adds time that others probably would rather spend creating their next concept, but I feel taking that time to add the extra layer of reality will only help the final result."
Doctor Photograph describes his style and sense of humor: "I'd say I'm very meticulous, sometimes to a fault, but its worth it when the result is getting seen by millions of people. As far as my sense of humor... I'm all over the place, but I think calling me a satirist sums it up well."
"Mayonster is going to be three years old in August. I'll keep making them as long as I can think of ideas. (If you've got something you'd like to see created, reach out!)" said Doctor Photograph when asked when he started creating these edits and how long he will continue making them.
Here's a challenge from Doctor Photograph for you: "Pick one of my posts and share it on your social media pretending you found it while you were at a store, just say 'omg what the heck??' Wait like two hours until you get a bunch of comments and then please tag me so I can read them all. Reactions like those are my favorite."

It says BlTCH. BP is lame for putting it on the list but censoring the entire joke.
He’s actually a surprisingly phenomenal dramatic actor. He just prefers making goofy movies with his friends.
this one annoys me, what's so wrong with a show of 6 white heterosexual friends? why can't white people have white friends given there's lot of white people in America. It's an insult to the other actors that were of other ethnic backgrounds that were on the show (Ross' girlfriends) can we stop looking at actors skin colour & judging them on that & just see them as actors.
If they just peaked in high school that’d still be acceptable in society. It’s that they peaked in high school but they think they’re now untouchable in their stupid narrow views and shitty attitudes. How did I get all that from a punisher symbol? Go take a drive in America and see for yourself.
(And as a small batch of Formula One cars scream through a bend at 300 MPH, you hear a familiar whiny voice emerge from one of them:) "...and how about that pit crew? Have you ever noticed how fast they try to get rid of you? I mean, you come screeching in, entire chassis on fire or whatever, and two seconds later -they push you right back out there! You're like, 'Hey!? Where's the bedside manner? No chit-chat? Not even a snack? Can I get a sip of water? No! Out you go! " (Guitar riff follows) Dunnnn..Dun dun DUN!
As a fan of Impractical Jokers, I find this to be extremely.... HILARIOUS. And someone should let them know.
everybody dates the dirty grill but end up marrying the grill next door....
No! We can accept that we don’t agree but “agree to disagree” is a cop out.
I liked it! Funny, not offensive, and not a Reddit conversation or something Disney / Star Wars.
I appreciate the background is the actual section these would be pulled from
Almost universally unimaginative, unoriginal, unskilled, just plain uninteresting.
