I have been through elementary school. All of us have! And usually, it’s just the start of life. But my elementary life wasn’t all so great.

I thought I had really awesome friends. They would hang around me and be awesome and friendly. I have descriptions of some of the major… er… insolents. Not naming names, though!

(GIRL) has been using me to become a very much liked person. She copies my works and acts all innocent. At the beginning of the year, she basically decided to act like me to become my friend: Quiet, keep-to-self, not very social. But she had a secret that she only shared once we became close friends. She is crazy, loud, hostile, SUPER competitive, and is very, extremely sensitive about anyone being in contact with her. She also is very gender bias, but she tries to hide it to ‘be more like me’. Whenever I spot her copying me, she always has the same excuse: “I’m just trying to be more like you!” Or, if she copies the way I write, “Your small writing contaminated me!” Sometimes she gives positive traits about me to claim that she wants to basically steal those traits from me. I don’t know how I am tolerating this, but I am. I need help on how to cope with the depression she gives me when she insults my work in drawing… even if she may not realize it.

I met (GIRL) in third grade, so I’ve known her for 3 straight years. She’s probably at the top of the list of the people you DON’T want to come across. She is always joking around, saying mean things about people… but that’s not a joke. That’s bullying. And she kicks this guy named (***) so much. (***) is a really good friend of mine, but no matter how much I tell (GIRL) to stop bullying him, she doesn’t. She’s REALLY biased in everything. Gender… clothing… appearance… all of that. Yeah. And if she does something bad, she talks like a baby, literally, and tries to act innocent. I stood up to her twice, but both times, I felt bad. So here I am, suffering life in the hands of (GIRL), under full control of her and being totally manipulated. She’s also one of the most popular girls in our school. That doesn’t mean that I want to be her friend, because she is really two-faced and abusive.

(GIRL) is one of those people I am full-blown SCARED OF. It’s not her fault… I just feel like she can do anything. She backbites on a lot of people who are her friends… like, what?! But I feel really bad because she is always emailing me that her friends are ditching her and saying that she’s too lame. I tell her to keep it cool and find new friends. She’s really nice once you hang out a lot with her. She also ‘jokes’ about things that can be rude and verbally hurt someone, but she means well. She has an amazing mindset and is extremely smart. She is really good at math explanations and digging deep in literature. I would love to offer her to hang out with me at recess, but for some reason, I fear her. I don’t know why. It’s just that she might start backbiting on the friends that ditched her, and instead of having a good time together, we might just end up being in a state of messy pity. Someone like her deserves better. She’s a great student, and people need to see THAT side of her. The sad thing is that people don’t pay attention to who she is for who she is. They pay attention to her negative side, which is negative itself.

I have known (BOY) my whole life. Since I was born. We used to be best friends… like, really close. He wouldn’t be rude to me, backbite, and he was THE OPPOSITE of two-faced. Well, now, he’s the opposite of ALL of those things. He doesn’t respect my wellbeing and has this immensely huge liking for my other close, best friend, (GIRL). She’s not mean to me, but (BOY) usually backbites on me by telling her. But she tells me all the time. If I could have at least one more chance to redo my life, I would have claimed him as a no-no. I wouldn’t have counted him as a friend of mine. But our parents are super close, and I am in a bit of a pickle.

Those were my “fake friends”. Double quotes around friends. I need advice because I STILL don’t know how to confront them. They are still my ‘friends’. I need ideas. Could you guys help me?
