Guy Surveys Americans On Which State They Hate The Most, Puts The Results In A Map

While non-Americans may struggle to understand this, America can get quite different when you travel from one coast to another. Many of the states differ from each other in their religious beliefs, legislative procedures and laws, and most even have some serious cultural contrasts. One thing is clear, they all hate each other. Well, at least according to an unscientific map created by Instagram user mattsurelee. The author of the map, Matt Shirley, decided to map out “Every state’s least favorite state’.

He collected data from surveying his 320,000 Instagram followers who love the relatable diagrams Shirley posts. Taken at face value, the responses revealed which state is the most disliked. While it may come to you as a surprise (or not, if you’re from Oregon or Montana) the most disliked state is Californa.

Shirley’s research showed that 9 states even expressed a dislike towards the Golden State. People of New Jersey didn’t hold back and said that they hate… everyone, while a few states surrounding it said the feeling is mutual. What’s interesting is that only a few states hate Florida, however, the state has enough hate for itself as it is. According to Shirley, 80% of Floridians said they hate Florida the most. Look at most of us on the West bonding together to hate California. Feel the love.
It's because Californians have invaded neighboring States. They ruin every place they move to, I wish they would just stay put.
I am fron Texas, on our side, we love California, they are the first largest economy we are the second and they pay for the poorer rural states, sure smaller states have no taxes, they have gun rights But they are also anti gay, cruel to minorities and woman. CA also has bitchin weather all year around, I know a guy whose homeless who loves to go to Cali for winter because it is better than snowy spots.
I don't get it, all we hear is what a hell hole the state of CA is. Finally, some residents listened and agree and have moved to your nicer states. Now were disliked even more?

The problem with California is that most of the people here migrated here from other states, bringing their attitude' s with them and taking our jobs. They are now abandoning ship to move to other states. Can't say I'm sad about it. I'm a California girl born and raised and have no plans of leaving. There are still some great places here to live, just not L.A. Bay Area, or Sacramento (plus a handful of undesirable ghetto places like Salinis. And no, I will not tell you where the nice places are. (;

I'm from Idaho and everyone here violently HATES Californians. It's primarily economic as they migrate here and drive out the locals with the cost of living hike
I think it's partially economic. I also think there's a perception that they flee the failed political policies that are ruining CA, but go elsewhere and vote for similar policies.

Well actually New Jersey hates us but there just salty cause our ocean is better.
Hawaii is just volcanic ash, man-mountains and lepers. People actually read books in New Jersey. You can keep your ocean.
