I saw the German campaign with the helmets and immediately thought of a campaign which is new here. The Dutch railway company (ProRail) in charge of the railway junctions etc has launched a campaign. Lots of young people still get hurt while crossing rails when barriers are down or when they think no train is coming. They launched an Instagram and website called victim fashion, showing replicas of clothing of the victims after the incident. These images are accompanied by the story of young people.

The opinions are divided. Some say this is a good thing to shock the youngsters so they’ll be more aware but others say it’s too traumatic for the people left behind and the train drivers. To shock is the only way to get through to the young people is what the initiative taker of the campaign says. What do you think?
