If you're an artist, everything's a medium, and Susanna Bauer is a perfect example of that. Constructed with leaves and finely woven cotton thread crochet, her works hold a fine balance of fragility and strength. They reflect individual stories and connections and pay tribute to the enduring beauty of nature.

But, how?! I just touch a leaf and I crush it with my stupid sausage fingers! Absolutely amazing, mind-boggling skill!
I assume she does it while the leaves are still 'alive' and then allows them to dry after? Still takes an immensely delicate hand though!
Load More Replies...crazy talent and it must take one hell of a delicate hand to do that without crumbling the leaves
Practice makes perfect. There must have been many crushed leaves rendering the time spent only for practice, leading up to this astonishing level of craftsmanship, or maybe that ought to be craftswomanship? (Nah, that would be ridiculous)
