I create oil paintings where landscapes are infiltrated by imagery that represents the chaos that invades the quite space that we long for. The series is about surrendering to the loss of personal space.

The heightened colors and out-of-place objects create absurd and sometimes disturbing stage-like scenes that become an alternate reality. What may at first seem like a disturbance to the serenity ultimately animates the setting and breathes new life into the space.
