My name is Alex Schwartz and I’m a highly active bilateral amputee. I’ve been an amputee since 1 year old. With my condition, they actually amputated my feet to ALLOW me to walk. You read that right. Growing up however, I was never able to run or be agile. Then, finally when I was 20 years old, I had my first pair of blades made and it opened up my world to a feeling and agility that I never thought I’d have. This is an extremely emotionally narrative describing this story.
