Dog Won’t Stop Barking At This Stranger Who Stopped To Pet Him, Leads Him Into The Mountains To This Abandoned Baby Interview
The man named Junrell Fuentes Revilla was riding his motorbike on what seemed to be a day like any other, through the mountains of Cebu, Philippines. Suddenly, a dog came out of nowhere and started running right after him. The four-legged boy was barking relentlessly as if he was desperate to tell something to Junrell.
Sensing that something was not quite right, Junrell stopped his motorbike and followed the dog to see where he led him. The dog took him right to a dumpsite, where a tiny bundle was lying. It turned out, this was a newborn baby boy wrapped in a brown towel and left completely abandoned.
But thanks to the canine hero, the baby was found in good health and was rushed to the nearest police station. The touching story has quickly spread over social media in the Philippines and many felt touched by the dog’s exceptional bravery. Not all heroes wear capes, and not all of them are humans.

To find out more about the heroic dog and this moving story, Bored Panda contacted Gea Ybarita, the administrator of Hope for Strays animal rescue non-profit in Cebu, Philippines. Gea told us that the news about the abandoned baby in the southern part of Cebu was circulating all around social media. The local news channel reported that the baby was saved by a stray dog.
“I wondered so much why no one had credited and honored such a hero dog,” Gea recounted. “Just by chance, we went to Blacky’s place with our motorbike, hoping we could find him. We had zero leads on his exact location and their area was a very remote place.”
The heroic dog was initially thought to be a stray, but it turned out he had a home

When the Hope For Strays team arrived at the said dumpsite on the mountain, they were surprised to see neither people nor dogs staying there.
“After a few minutes, a guy on a motorcycle passed by and we then asked and showed him Blacky’s pictures regarding his whereabouts.” Turns out, the man was his owner, and “we felt so lucky and relieved after hours of travel.”
Gea said that Blacky’s owner, Lyndon Olingay, then invited them to his place to meet the hero dog. “His family are dog lovers and they have 4 more adult dogs with 5 puppies,” she said and added “The Olingay family are such genuine, humble and kind people.”

“I could not forget what Blacky’s owner once said: ‘No matter how hard life is, even though I’m poor, I feed all of my dogs and take care of them well.’” When meeting Blacky’s wonderful family, Gea said they realized why he and the other dogs are so sweet and gentle.

Hope For Strays helps to promote and advocate adoption of homeless stray animals in Cebu. Often, they discover ill-treated, extremely sick, and abandoned animals who have lost hope in this world.
“The number of stray dogs here in the Philippines has been steadily increasing. Thus, rescue organizations like ours need to find ways to rescue and feed the abused and neglected strays despite our very limited resources and audience.”
Blacky’s family still needed help and the animal rescue “Hope For Strays” thanked them with groceries for raising such a smart dog

Gea explained that the stray animal problem in the Philippines is so huge that it needs help from people. “If people would choose to adopt rather than to shop, if pet owners were more responsible and did more spaying and neutering of strays and their pets, then it would make the problem go away.”
“No stray would get hurt, cold, and hungry if we all chose kindness every day,” Gea told us and said that all animals’ lives are very precious. Just like Blacky, dogs and cats can actually save people and bring happiness to our lives.

“However, for us to be able to save these innocent beings, we must all work together and support small non-profit organizations like ours in protecting the stray lives. The more audience, the more we spread the word of being kind to every being here on Earth,” Gea concluded.

I love these stories. And people still question animal emotion.
Yeah, right?! I never never never understood how it can even be a question if animals have emotions? It should be a fact in everybody's mind. I personally felt more undestood by animals since my childhood than by people, exactly because animals communicate more on an emotional level ( and so many more ways too). I believe that whoever questions the emotions of animals, has a low emotional intelligence itself and these people tend to be more violent or uncaring about other people as well.

It is already scientifically proven that animals have emotions*, even tiny animals like prairie mice. However the implications are so big.... Think about it (*source Utrecht University)
Who are those unemotional, imbeciles vernier-benoit and pattroise?
All mammals are classed as sentient beings under the law in nz. It is not the same everywhere sadly. Humans are too arrogant.
That poor defenceless baby. Thank goodness for that dog! And thank goodness that the passerby followed him. Why are humans so s**t?
What if the mother was a child from an abusive home who was terrified of their parents finding out? Twelve and thirteen-year-olds get raped, and get pregnant. Why waste hate when you have no idea what the circumstances were that led to this?
@WhoAreYouToSayPandasAreBored My god, you are such an first-world child. This happened in Cebu province in the Philippines. There probably aren't any hospitals within walking distance. And no, the mother probably does not own a car or have the money to call a taxi. Or even take a bus to a hospital. If you care so much about abandoned children donate to charities that would help them. Ranting on Bored Panda makes you feel nice and smug and superior, but doesn't actually help anyone.
The babies are abandoned like this in the countries where there's abortion illegal.

well imagine you're in the person who left the baby's spot...some bad stuff must have been happening for them to resort to that.
Gosh, people are so empathic nowadays. (Sarcasm off). Neither of you knows what exactly has been going through the persons head. Imagine it was the mother. Maybe she did not know you can give a baby to a hospital. Maybe she left it just to get food but died before she could come back. Maybe she is mentally unstable or mentally a child, has read the Jungle book and thought this is the best way for the child. We DON'T KNOW!!! There are so many possibilities.
Nope, I'm sorry, none of that matters. You have someone else's life in your hands (most likely the parents/mom did this). You can literally drop a baby off at any hospital, no questions asked but instead this person is selfish enough to drop the baby off on a freaking mountain? Whoever left this child to die a horrible death. Pure evil and disgusting excuse of a human being.

No. No excuses for abandoning a child and leaving them to the elements and wildlife. That child could have died a horrific, pain-filled death. No sympathy for the cold hearted person who left that innocent being. NONE.
I am very empathetic toward a defenseless child. Not toward someone that dropped a defenseless newborn off on a mountain. They had the means to drop it off on a mountain instead of police station, hospital, neighbor, store, literally anywhere else other than a mountain to die a horrible death. The child was not dead as you suggested since the story said the child was crying. How can someone defend the person that dropped this child like a piece of trash to DIE instead of the defenseless child!?!!
