Does Your Kid Know The Bible?

As a young parent, I find it very important, to teach as much as I can to my 5 year old, about God, and about Bible.

Of course, I never want to force her, to visit the church with me every sunday, or to really, truly believe in God – I hope she will, but at the end of the day, it’s her choice.

But I want her to KNOW God, to KNOW the Bible, and to KNOW God’s words.

So, what did I do? I made her sit down, took my Bible with me, and I started to read them the stories of the Bible.

I tried to read her much stories: Noah’s ark, David & Goliath, The creation of the world, The story of Joseph, you name it, but the reaction was always the same. She was bored, and she was totally right.

First, I did not see the problem, but after thinking a little bit, I said: She is right, I tried to read the Bible for a 5 years old, I’m an idiot :)

So, I started to reach for a more child-friendly solution.
I’ve found a Bible app for kids on my iPhone-s app store.

Hallelujah, download it, open it, try it. Well, the truth is, it was compelling, even my daughter liked it- for the first 5-6 chapter.
And, after that just hitting the next button, trying to tap the animals and the people on the screen IN EVERY SINGLE CHAPTER. Noting compelling after 5-6 chapters.

And yeahhhhh, when she touched the monkey, it throwed a banana to the other monkey, and when she touched Noah on the ark, his face was really desperate, but nothing else.

At the end of the day, it was still not the total child-friendly solution I was looking for.

So I looked further, aannnnndddd I found nothing. Because the solution I’m looking for does not exist.

I want a GAME, that can teach these things to my daughter, while she is PLAYING. Because she is 5 years old, her task is to play.

So, with my husband we clapped our hands, and said, thats a great idea.

Because, you know, if the mountain won’t come to Muhammad then Muhammad must go to the mountain

So, we’re going to the mountain, and making the MOST childfriendly GAME for knowing the Bible.
