The problem of people like this is that they separate people only based on skin colour. Culture matters even more, just because a character is the same colour as you it doesn't mean you will feel represented by them if they are from a completely different culture - sincerely, an Eastern European who barely gets positive representation in western media.

They're all culturally diverse. That should count for more than skin tone.

*yawn* If you're bothered with Caucasian characters, why not search for non-mainstream international works of art and entertainment yourself? Let's start with Japan and Korea, since they're pretty easy to find. Many of Japanese stories are set in a European background, true, but twice as many include exclusively east Asian people, or raceless characters (I mean, which ethnicity has naturally green hair). Oh, and Aliens. Let's not forget aliens. Hey! No need to move away from USA pop culture after all either. Star Trek, Star Wars, so many Marvel and DC heroes... Maybe you can look it up yourself about multimedia done by African producers in Africa by African authors and based on African stories too. I mean, people just want to complain, without bothering doing the actual work and educate themselves so they can both enjoy diversity and promote international art at the same time.

Frankly I think most of these arguments are lame debates between people who are not facing real racism. It distracts from real, large scale problems.

This just moves the same argument to another level though. Why has Disney chosen to mostly adapt western stories with white protagonists? Probably not out of malice to be sure, but the end result is a pretty white line-up until they intentionally started to intentionally change that.

Why are people obsessed with the color of skin? I enjoy some nice conversation and well, normally it never gets brought up. I mean, there are way more important things to talk about. I'm a mixed Dutch-Indonesian and i know racism, so u know what i'm talking about.

Culture is more important than race. I'm white but I'll never call myself a WASP because the only letter in there that applies to me is W. If you think all white people are Angelo Saxon then you need to retake some history classes.
