Illustrator Accurately Reimagines What Disney Movies Would Look Like If They Were Made In 2017

UK-based graphic artist Tom Ward has a lot to say about the current state of the world, and he's using the help of everyone's favorite Disney characters to do it.
In a new series of drawings Ward has dubbed "Alt Disney," he connects the storylines of several classic Disney movies to modern social issues, creating a dark but intriguing look at reality through the eyes of popular characters from our childhood. The creative drawings provide powerful commentary on water pollution, animal abuse, obsession with technology, pop culture, and a range of other subjects as if to point out that although the world of Disney classics is full of magic and happy endings, the world we live in has serious problems that must be discussed.
See how Disney's most beloved faces and iconic movies might have turned out if they were made in 2017 below and vote for the ones that are just too real.

"Fuck this." ... "Yeah." ... "I used to be *famous* ..." "Big deal! I used to be KING!" .. "Shut up, guys!! Ain't helping." .. "Sorry." .. "Okay, so how're we gonna eat this prick?" ..
And then Jasmine would get sick of it and force Genie to make the house perpetually clean, and then buy a third gaming controller.
Technically, Robin would be "safe" as venery is still forbidden in UK ;p
I feel like some of these are just funny observations, they don't have to be negative (like the peter pan one). We can communicate with our loved ones at the touch of a button, we're not dying of horrible diseases as much as we used to, fox hunting is actually banned in the UK (so comic is old I think), and although we're far from solving the issue, ivory hunting is in decline as protections come in place (ivory hunting would have been much worse at the time of Dumbo as with the circuses). I get what they're trying to day, but I think I'm just getting a bit tired of everyone trying to do 'shocking' stuff with Disney characters...
Yeah, I don't get it. Most of things are 20th century issues which is like you said in decline.
Bravo Wezbie !!
they've brought back fox hunting in the UK now

Do you have a paypal, in the event if you have you can get an additional 800 week after week to your check just working on the internet 5 hours per day... check this link.. Good luck________________ http://cutt.us/RbDpG
I wish! I work 9 hours+(63.3% which I procrastinate...) on the interwebs I don't get anything near 800 a week! What interwebs do you use?
some of these are really sad
Our current reality is very sad!The artist did a great job!
The reality of those days was not all fairy tales either....
Fairy tales were not pretty to begin with, Disney turned them acceptable for kids. But the Little Mermaid killed herself and get turned in foam because her prince marry another one. In the Hunchback of Notre Dame nearly everyone die. And I'm not event talking about thoses princes that keep falling in love with dead chicks (nor about the fact that Sleeping Beauty only wake up after giving birth twice)... tales are pretty creapy
Zenozenobee, absolutely. I thought that part was understood. Anyway, thank you for adding up to my statement, making its meaning only heavier.
Exactly.
Well call me an optimist, but we're doing better than ever before. We're cursing disease, the life expectancy is way higher and we're more connected than ever. There are some horrible things happening in the world, but overall life is amazing.
